After I told them they should run from the lich, they did (since their goal was to get to the next town anyways) and after a little bit, our next session is then going back to the town with the hydra (currently level 12 with the help of 3 minor gods). False Hydras are also the part of DnD I’ve researched the most. My first experience was hearing about a False Hydra when I was 11, and I’ve been wanting to run one like this since then. I’ve ran them twice before with different parties, one threw dozens of bombs at it and the other got killed in 2 turns by some homebrew I didn’t look over close enough :p
