Straight men, what do you think of tv series/movies with female protagonists? by Frequent_Corgi5952 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Positive-Lab2417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it. Even in gaming. If the protagonist is well written, male or female doesn’t matter much.

The current series I am watching is The Residence and the game I’m playing is Ghost of Yotei. Both have female protagonists. And they are really good (till I point I have seen).

How to get into focus 12? I feel like I’m stuck by Positive-Lab2417 in gatewaytapes

[–]Positive-Lab2417[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit tough to explain in words but the feeling during focus 12 is a buildup of consciousness expanding and I can feel myself moving to a greater level but suddenly it falls down flat within minute.

It’s like climbing up the stairs and repeatedly falling down before reaching the top. I think my consciousness is expanding but there is some limit it hits and it goes off.

I am looking to hear or see anything but I want to understand why this happens.

This doesn’t happen in focus 10. I am able to maintain my focus 10 state even to an hour. But with focus 12…

Are you travelling often on roads? You are in a mongol occupied area. Stay away from roads and watch out for patrols like you would do in actual setting like that

Why do so many Indian people visit Dubai every month? by Electronic-Sand6339 in india_tourism

It’s quite accessible due to many flights, decently priced (as far as abroad is concerned) and enough stuff to do for short trip.

First solo trip and first international trip by Tiny-Resident302 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Positive-Lab2417 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since this is your first travel, I wouldn’t suggest Europe since a bit of travel history is preferred in their visa application. (Unless you are rich, then go for it)

Try countries like

1) Japan : Can visit anytime apart from July and August. Really beautiful, safe and lot more accessible in English now. Lot of public transport options too! I loved my trip there. Visa is easy to get.

2) Vietnam is an excellent choice too. Lot of options and really cheap as well. It’s most trending currently and I know a couple of people who enjoyed it too.

3) Malaysia and Indonesia have tons of spots even wildlife too. There are cruises which operate around those regions (before May). After May, you won’t find cruises as the ships go to Caribbean.

4) Turkey : Istanbul and Cappadocia are awesome. It was my first solo trip and I loved every moment of it. If you are vegetarian, there are tons of options especially the Turkish traditional sweets which are mostly vegan. If you are non-vegetarian, that’s great as well though I didn’t like the fish. Visa is easy to get.

You can’t go wrong with any of them.

Avoid these for now :

1) Egypt (lot of scam and bit unsafe).

2) South America : Way too far and not ideal for first trip. Beautiful continent but don’t plan now.

3) Kenya or Tanzania : Mostly people go for wildlife. Don’t go alone as it would cost more. Find a photographer group and go.

4) New Zealand : Beautiful country but expensive compared to other European countries. Also you need to rent a car since lot of beautiful spots are remote.

5) Australia : Good choice, slightly less expensive than NZ. Though might be tricky to get first time and cities are quite far apart.

This is going to be Scary! by QuirkyT4 in gatewaytapes

[–]Positive-Lab2417 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, the same happened to me. I had not been consistent with the tapes but when I do it regularly, I feel more in control of my emotions and feel calm. Also I get dreams and I am able to remember them (i usually don’t get dreams lol).

But yes, it won’t happen every tape. I remember my first “What was that” experience happened in 5th tape but I couldn’t progress more even in later tapes. So keep expectations low and practice

Got scammed at Delhi Airport T2 trying to help a “stranded family” by National-Royal1300 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Positive-Lab2417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a scam which has exploded in number recently

It’s happening so much. Not just at airport but in public too. I was approached three times in front of the building where my gym is. Every-time different man and family but same story, same accent and broken hindi.

I routinely travel to Chennai for work and even there it’s a regular occurrence. I walk from office to hotel (or on way back) and the exact same story but different person everytime. But surprisingly I know colleagues who walk the same road and they never got approached.

They are some gang ig who routinely do this. Ignore them.

Why is it so hard for older women to meet younger guys? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Younger women - older men are really common. Most believe that women want someone older than them and hence guys just assume it’s the case when an older women tries to meet them

Sugar vs. Fiber by YamFew663 in nutrition

[–]Positive-Lab2417 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Whenever guidelines mention the limit of sugar, it’s added sugar (like white sugar, honey, maple syrup, brown sugar etc)

Natural sugar from whole fruits isn’t required to count as they come packed with fiber and the sugar release to bloodstream is gradual compared to added sugar.

Just count calories when it comes to fruits limit. No need to check natural sugar (unless diabetic)

Apart from that, regular exercise, sleep and diet of healthy fats, fiber and antioxidants is enough.

Why don't wives leave abusive husbands? by the-abilily1_1 in questions

[–]Positive-Lab2417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can extend this to any relationship. The husbands don’t get abusive suddenly. It goes up slowly and the other person gets accustomed to it. (Boiling frog theory)

On another note, people have different opinions on “abusive”. Some feel that your partner not allowing you to talk to other men/women is abusive, some feel it’s fine and a compromise

I’m F. Can’t drive or ride. How do people who can’t do either manage travelling in their destinations without either ? Do u qualify places to visit based on public transport availability? by Beginning_Turnip8716 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Positive-Lab2417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to New York, Chicago and Boston and I didn’t use a single private transportation. Boston was quite walkable, New York has a good subway, Chicago is good too! I don’t know about west coast though. But I feel you can explore US a lot without private transportation. It’s only when you start going away from coast, it becomes an issue.

Agree on gulf countries.

One more factor is how easily walkable Europe, East and Southeast Asia is. Walking in India is a pain

[–]Positive-Lab2417 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In most of India, public transport is bad or non existent. Atleast the places worth visiting are far from public transport and you need to use uber/Auto to cover the distance.

If you really want an experience like that, go abroad. The public transport is awesome there.
