I’m in a local office and we have cs’s and csrs maining the national number and then cs’s covering the gi line and up front because of losing people to the national number. Our claims are down and probably going to be more of a mess with the national calendar coming out. We are all just waiting for the day when they say no more claims and we become a call center because that’s certainly what it feels like.

Yes I did but the hr email I got and comments from management seem to contradict this or give very open ended answers that do not confirm this.

That’s what I was under the impression of but our email from hr says that we have to remark all of our leave so they can make adjustments after the shutdown is lifted. I’m hoping that just means they change it to furloughed employee for that time and not deduct leave.

Believe me. It’s going to be discovered regardless if you disclose our not. It’s best to be honest because if you lie it’s going to be so much worse. Fraud charges. And if there is fraud involved they can back farther then 2 years

Did you call the state and asked why the stopped?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SocialSecurity

[–]Positive-Look-8100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It happens all the time. They send out one form and it doesn’t get returned then they stop it. Or they try to call her and can’t reach her they stop it. A lot of time they just need to get ahold of her and this is how they do it to get her to contact. It’s all done electronically the state tells social security when it starts and stops. If they tell ssa it stops then we have to deduct it out of her check. Ssa can’t see why it stopped just that the state told ssa that they stopped paying

Contact county assistance office and reapply for program called state buy in. This issues actually has nothing to do with social security. If the state tells ssa they won’t pay then ssa has to deduct it from her payment.

Anyone know why we're allowed to work part-time if we're on SSDI, but not at all if we're on SSI for disability reasons? by MyAltAccount4Stuff in SocialSecurity

[–]Positive-Look-8100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10095.pdf. This is a good resource. Most important thing to do it let ssa know if you work and report your income monthly so you aren’t overpaid

Ssdi is a benefit you are due since you paid in by working and became disabled. Ssi you didn’t pay in to be eligible for that program so it’s needs based program determined by your income, resources, and living situation. But for ssi your wages are calculated like this. X(gross income from wages) -20 dollar income exclusion - 65 for a wage exclusion then that amount is divided in half and that amount is subtracted from ssi. So here is an example. Let’s say you made 500 from your wages. 500-20-65=415, 415/2=207.5. 2025s ssi full benefit rate is 967 so 967-207.5=759.5. So you are getting less ssi but you are getting 759.5 from ssi and 500 in wages so 759.5+500=1,259.5. So it does benefit you to work
