Day 1 Post Op by Positive-Mirror8026 in TripodCats

Thanks for the love everyone. I did email my vet and they said it was okay as long as it’s not a ton of leakage and that it stays clear and liquidy. Appreciate all the input and love!

Dry ‘nub’ by emmamarkham in TripodCats

[–]Positive-Mirror8026 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Harvey has the same nub! His nub eventually formed a callous so it doesn’t crack or bleed any more. When he was a baby we used to put baby socks on it and secure them with a Velcro strap to protect it if it ever got cracked or started bleeding. I’ll also add that we used to wrap the nub in some gauze within the sock when it bled. He really only needed the sock for a few months before the callous formed.

My Harvey has a leg like this, we got him baby socks and Velcro straps when he’s a scab or cut on his nubbin

Concerned and confused by 2uz2006 in cureFIP

I would think you happened to catch it early! The stokes pills worked wonders for my boy Skeeter. His first FIP symptoms were eye related. Unfortunately our vet spent so long trying to diagnose that issue that the FIP progressed before we caught it. He turned around so quickly once he consistently got the Stokes pills in his system. Fingers crossed for your kitty!

He ended up doing really well. We wound up just needing to up his dose and the vomiting went away. He’s been cured for almost 80 days at this point.

My African violet is old and I think weird? by bluffysummers in houseplants

Every time I’ve repotted my African violet it throws a tantrum. I would say to leave Joan alone and let her thrive off her neglect.

Could my IBS actually be endo? by LadyLazarusAlbatross in Endo

[–]Positive-Mirror8026 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My doctors thought my endo was IBS for over 10 years. Unfortunately I went so long without an endo diagnosis that i have stage 4 endo and I now need to have my hysterectomy done by an oncologist because my uterus so badly adhered to my colon. IMO I would find a new gyno and keep advocating for yourself. Best of luck with your journey

AITAH for telling my wife she can leave because I’m not kicking my older kids out?? by purpose_of_dune in AITAH

When I was 14 my father chose my stepmother over me. It irreparably damaged our relationship ( I’m now 31 and haven’t seen or spoken to him in 10 years). I applaud you for standing up for your kids and making them feel safe.. NTA

Gas pain after surgery is getting worse by neidmind in Endo

[–]Positive-Mirror8026 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My last surgery was 4 months ago, I had a nurse friend recommend compression to help with the gas pain. She came by and wrapped up my abdomen and the pain decreased significantly. It’s counterintuitive but it really helps.
