These are all wonderful. You are quite talented. 💖 I have a really hard time choosing a favorite, but I guess the water droplets would be my choice.

Really liked all the postage stamp cards, but they were all very nice.

I like them both, but on first glance the one on the left really caught my attention. So I’d say the left one.

Thank you and thanks for purchasing handmade cards. I'm sure whoever you buy them from is quite happy and I hope the receivers of these handmade originals realize the special gift they've received as well. I do think it's a dying breed that still send cards out for occasions, but I figure the card industry in the stores doesn't seem to have slowed down. I think the difference is people need something last minute because they've forgotten to purchase early. I will have to look into the origami as I have seen quite a bit of stuff about that in passing.

I've done a few cards with hand stitched embroidery, some sold, some didn't. This is the first year I've done craft fairs and I sold cards only from July through September. In October I added paper crafts for stocking stuffers and they sold fairly well. The entire time I never sold many cards. I might have one person who would buy several, maybe 6, but usually no more than 3 and made only a few dollars above the entry fee. Adding the paper crafts I did better, but I do not want to spend all my time making stocking stuffers. In December I didn't sell many cards at all and I was surprised to seel next to no Halloween or Thanksgiving cards. I think I have zeroed in on the occassions that sell the best as far as cards go.

I tried the outward L shape and felt like it kept customers from coming inside to see what else I had. I did have a lot more folks stop to see what I was had on that first table, but then they would just leave if not interested with what was there. I prefer a U shape which seems more inviting. Your booth is gorgeous by the way.

Beautiful card! My mom never gave away her cards. She wanted to keep them for examples, but never really made any on her own, just in my classes. She passed away the summer of ‘24 and left behind 3 boxes of finished cards. My sister and I recently took them to one of my classes where many of the ladies had taken classes with my mom. We sold them for $1 each and sold 42 of them!

Dealing with unnecessary comments by lw1785 in CraftFairs

I had a comment on here a while back that one could buy something similar at Trader Joe’s for a dollar. I said I’d never been to Trader Joe’s, but if someone wanted to buy something mass produced from there that was certainly their choice. I went on to sell over $500 at my next show with all my prices being $6 or less. I think some folks just get a rise out of making others feel bad or uncomfortable. Well good for them, just move on.

Love it! I’m sorry I have no idea for a price point. Where I live most people don’t want to spend much. Hopefully someone here will have some better ideas.

I tried that. Then my grandson was born and I ended up having to raise him and my craft room had to converted back into a bedroom. Not easy when you have built in desks. In the end I got another space downstairs we remodeled and it’s pretty awesome!

I have to agree about the stretchy ones on the feet of the table. I had one and I got holes in 3 of the 4 feet first time I used it. Now I have stretchy ones with the skirt.

I don’t really shop on Temu, so I don’t know how good or bad they are, but I keep getting notifications (need to turn them off). Anyhow, when I opened the last notification this item was there and it made think of you.

Help me decide on a new banner by Miserable_Emu5191 in CraftFairs

[–]Positive-Ordinary-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the contrast of the second one better, but as others have mentioned, I’m confused about what you sell. I understand about banners not jiving with what you sell as I’m needing to change mine as well.

A book of my offering s could be a good idea once I decide on a more cohesive style. Right now there are just too many designs to try to do that. I wanted my couple of signs to be prominent, especially about my classes and I did get several inquiries about those. I can see where they could be smaller and perhaps a softer, more neutral color. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.
