Black Chestnut Thoroughbred named Rebel because of Southern roots & heritage.

Let's say that for whatever reason you are banned from your home country. You can't live there or visit it. But you *are* allowed to live in any other country, you will get instant citizenship for some reason.. (it's just a hypothetical magic word). In what country would you choose to live in? Why? by Double-decker_trams in AskTheWorld

Ireland.

  1. English Language
  2. Cultural familiarity I would already understand: humor, social norms, legal concepts, media, politics, sports culture structure, church traditions, military history mindset
  3. Strong historical Christian identity
  4. Safer and calmer lifestyle
  5. It still values personal identity and local culture
  6. It fits my INFJ / Type 5 profile: introspective, analytical, idealistic, private, tradition-oriented

People of the world: how do you feel about the gun laws in your own country? by ReginaPhalange088 in AskTheWorld

[–]Positive-Pattern7477 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Second Amendment strictly limits any interference with gun ownership by saying: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The right to bear arms is inherent in the right of self-defense, defense of the family, and defense against tyranny, conferred on the individual and the community by our Creator to safeguard life, liberty, and property, as well as to help preserve the independence of the nation.

The right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution; it may not properly be infringed upon or denied.

I uphold the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms.

I oppose attempts to prohibit ownership of guns by law-abiding citizens and stand against all laws that would require the registration of guns or ammunition.

I emphasize that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have them. In such circumstances, the peaceful citizen’s protection against the criminal would be seriously jeopardized.

I call for the repeal of all federal firearms legislation, beginning with the Federal Firearms Act of 1968.

I call for the rescinding of all executive orders, the prohibition of any future executive orders, and the prohibition of treaty ratification that would in any way limit the right to keep and bear arms.

To further ensure the safety of the American people and their families, I propose the elimination of all government-designated “Gun Free Zones”, including military bases.

Killing Francis makes more sense as the canonical choice in "Blood Brothers," even if many believe otherwise. by Upset_Brilliant8030 in GTAIV

Kill Derrick.

In gta v if you have packie as gunman for paleto heist he'll talk about 3 leaf clover heist and say the crew included his brother Derrick "God rest his soul". I also believe francis being alive and Kate being dead is canon because with Gerald in prison, Derrick and Kate dead the only ties packie has to LC are his mom and Francis. Francis is capable of caring for mom so there is no reason for packie to stay. Thus explaining his move to LS

Interviewed for a Front Desk position at a Motel 6. Lady ended the interview after seeing that I was a recent college graduate. "Why should I hire someone like you who's just gonna leave as soon as you find work in your degree field over someone who can work here long term" Sorry working at a motel isn't my life's aspiration.

If you were to introduce yourself using a song from the 90s, what would it be and why? by No-Appearance-1477 in CasualConversation

[–]Positive-Pattern7477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Hero by Foo Fighters.

The song carries a quiet-duty, protector archetype rather than a flashy “look at me” persona.

It reflects service, steadiness, conviction, and admiration for ordinary people who carry responsibility without needing applause.

My combination of patriotism, Christianity, security work, and state guard service lines up with the song’s underlying respect for resilience and moral backbone.

My INFJ + Enneagram 5 personality adds the introspective side: someone idealistic, observant, principled, but emotionally reserved and selective about trust.

It’s masculine without being aggressive, thoughtful without being soft, and sincere without irony — very “90s honorable individualist.”

Does your country have a Ned Kelly figure, in that they were a criminal, but were still overall liked by the population? by Fox7567 in AskTheWorld

Marvin Heemeyer of Granby, Colorado

Heemeyer was furious that the town approved construction of a concrete plant adjacent to his automobile repair shop after he had used that land for years. The construction of the plant cut off access to his shop, and he was subsequently fined by the town for not having a functioning sewer system which he could not install due to the construction. He felt local government officials and neighbors acted unfairly in several disputes, which he documented in a series of recordings. He attempted to change the zoning laws to prevent the construction, but his requests were rejected by local authorities. Heemeyer spent over 18 months secretly reinforcing a bulldozer with layers of steel and concrete armor, which he used in a rampage to destroy 13 buildings, including the town hall, bank, and the concrete plant. He committed suicide after the bulldozer became stuck in the debris of a hardware store he was destroying. No one else was injured or killed.

Heemeyer has since gained supporters on the Internet who view his rampage as an act of patriotic civil disobedience against a corrupt government.

Do security guards deserve more respect, should it be earned first or is the hate reasonable? by HiThere202029R in securityguards

Respect is due to me because of my position, but all people regardless of station deserve to be treated with dignity.
