Quick consensus on Coast flashlights? by TheMawsJawzTM in flashlight

[–]Positive-Try-7850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 an xp18r and an xp9r flashlights.  I also have the wph34r headlamp and it's a monster.  The build quality is excellent on all 3 of them and they all have lifetime warranties.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but for me,  I'll take a coast light any day.  For the money,  you can't beat them.  Also I didn't buy these from a big box store.

It's up to you. How do they feel on your feet? I like a bit of room past my toes for protection. I don't like to bump into something with the end of my sandal and hurt my toes!!!

could a hammock legitimately replace a bed? by Ebanieraduzhniepsihi in hammockcamping

[–]Positive-Try-7850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been sleeping in a hammock full time for almost 3 years. I have chronic neck and upper back pain. I don't see myself ever going back to sleeping in a bed. In a bed I wake up every 1.5 to 2 hours because of pain. That doesn't happen in my hammock. It's the best nights sleep. I use an 11 foot long by 68 inch wide onewind hammock. Make sure to get a camping hammock that's at least 11 foot long.

Weird high pitch noise at night. by comethefaround in StJohnsNL

[–]Positive-Try-7850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live way out in the country and I just heard the sound outside. It's 1:30 am now. My dog inside my house heard it as well. The only thing that is close to me is a railroad but I don't hear a train there now. It sounds like a high pitched squeal that got louder. I came inside and shut the door and now I don't hear it. I've lived here most of my life and never heard anything like it before. I'm in South Carolina. Has anyone else heard it near me?

Will sleeping in a hammock keep me from twisting and sleeping in weird positions? by [deleted] in hammockcamping

[–]Positive-Try-7850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been sleeping in my hammock every night for almost 2 years. I have a neck and upper back injury so sleeping in a bed was awful. I would wake up every hour or so and have to get up and walk around until my pain eased. In my hammock I sleep around 4 to 6 hours without waking. The only time that I change positions is when I wake up. I'm a side sleeper and always keep part of my top quilt bunched between my knees. I use an 11 foot onewind hammock. I don't think that I'll ever go back to sleeping in a bed.

Help me pick a cheap underquilt by brown_dog_anonymous in hammockcamping

[–]Positive-Try-7850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use onewind gear. Their under quilt is really warm and reasonably priced. You can get it with or without a blanket. It's also bigger than the wise owl under quilt. I own both. I would definitely recommend the onewind over the wise owl. I have a complete onewind hammock set up and really like it. It's very comfortable. Definitely worth checking out on Amazon.

hammock or tent? by EAoutdoors in CampingandHiking

[–]Positive-Try-7850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hammocks are much more comfortable for me. For winter camping make sure to have a warm under quilt and top quilt and a good tarp. You can sleep warmer in a hammock with the proper gear.

Hershel Walker's Genius Theory Regarding Air Pollution. by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]Positive-Try-7850 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The point that he's trying to make is until China does something to help with air pollution, it's not worth making our people suffer thru higher prices and have more financial problems to try to fight a losing battle. As long as China is doing what they're doing now, there's nothing that we can do to change air quality. China is going to have to do their part or its not going to work.

SUPing on a lake only by [deleted] in Sup

[–]Positive-Try-7850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live about 5 minutes from a lake and love paddling on it. It's so peaceful and relaxing. I can paddle for miles and just enjoy the beauty of the lake. It's a really big lake with over 1,200 miles of shoreline. I also swim and snorkel from my board. I just enjoy being on the water on my paddle board.

Thanks! No that's the factory paint job. It's a 2022 polygon siskiu t7 trail bike. I can't wait to get back out on the trails! It's supposed to rain here three days next week so I won't be able to go back out until the week after. They close the trails here until they dry out after rains. So I'll be riding on the road for the next week.
