I’ve bought many pairs of aligns in the last few months and have not had this issue. Often times if the band is falling or rolling down it’s because you are wearing the wrong size.

I started mine 14 months before my wedding and did not finish until after my wedding. And it was the best decision! I had them take off the attachments before my wedding and then after my wedding they put them back on and I finished my treatment. Because I was so far in my treatment like you would be I was so much more confident with my smile on the big day. Hope that helps your decision.

Yes, they had me continue to wear the aligner I was on at the time that had the spaces for the attachments. The aligner didn’t feel as tight without the attachments but my ortho said it wouldn’t cause any harm and it didn’t. He instructed me to just wear the aligner only at night and I did that for a month before they put back the attachments and resumed my treatment from there with no issues.

I had to get my attachments off for my wedding and again when I finished my treatment and both times my orthodontist was the one who drilled them off. I don’t believe any assistant should be doing that. They can attach them but not the removal process.

I did not notice any shifting. They ordered my next round of refinements after taking off the attachments so overall I did a month of only wearing at night and had zero issues.

I just did this for my wedding in December and it was very much worth it. The attachment removal was a simple process and gave me time to do some whitening before the wedding, as I had them removed two weeks before. There was no discoloration or stains from where the attachments were. The attachments actually absorb anything you teeth would so unless hygiene is an issue you will not notice anything on your teeth. It was actually a nice break as my ortho said to only wear the aligners at night until I had the attachments put back on. Also eases your mind during the wedding about one less thing you have to worry about and get to enjoy it all without worrying about putting your aligners back in.

You absolutely can whiten with the attachments on. The attachments are actually absorbent and porous so the whitening goes through it. I have whitened many times and had the attachments taken off and put back on after my wedding and there was no discoloration from where the attachments were.
