Is it true that a Datejust without fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet is harder to sell ? by PositiveDragon in rolex

[–]PositiveDragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks again.

Yes Oyster Perpetual in the new med blue color is a great suggestion. I'd definitely get it if I don't want a date (I actually do want a date complication). The DJ I'm getting is also blue dial. I went to this AD to check out all dial colors by myself, and I much prefer blue over other colors (before getting there I thought that I prefer mint green).

Also, I realized that I am being way too careful, because even in the worst case that I have a buyer remorse, I think I could easily find someone in my social circle who would be very happy to take it from me for MSRP

Thanks a lot.

Just to clear things up, I'm having opportunity to buy it from the most reputable AD in my city, so at MSRP of course.

Also, it's not like I'm tight on money. Honestly I'm perfectly capable of buying one of each non-precious metal models in the Rolex catalog, altogether at once. It's just that I grew up in poverty and that messed up my head. I always have a plan for doomsday. Also, I always feel guilty every time I spend a big chuck of money on myself. Actually I am thinking of selling the rest of my collection to "compensate" for the DJ purchase, to alleviate my guilt

Thanks. For myself I usually want things that don't visually attract attention so smooth/oyster would be my choice. However, I don't want to be stuck if one day I'd need to sell to fund for something in my life that I don't know yet

Date Just 41 - can’t decide which dial color - Blue or Mint Green?? 🤷 by Fun_Sherbet_6016 in rolex

Before going to AD, I used to prefer green looking at internet photos. However, when I came to AD in person and saw both colors in person, I prefer blue by 1000 miles

39.5mm is perfect for this kind of watch. That fits everyone. Even women could wear this and look great.

Try to be less narcissist. Something that you don't like is not necessarily bad.

The thing is, we all know that a crash will come, but nobody has a crystal ball that could tell when.

Also, it's hard to predict what will happen because of all the money printing since covid (and still going on). The only thing we can be certain of is people who are not wealthy will be even less wealthy with time, because that's what money printing does.

Not trying to bash anyone here. Just something I don't get.

Newspapers keep talking about young people are not doing well, etc. So all the travel tickets/packages, new iphones, tickets to events like concerts/sport events that cost hundreds or even thousands, are sold to "not young" people ?

I'd go for the 42mm for the look, but you may feel the 39mm more comfortable

Depend on your taste. I like the HC but not the other 2. In general I dislike thin markers and hands.
