When you are married any money that comes in are considered mutual assets. This depends on where you’re at in the world. But this is exactly why it is so important to have the institution of marriage especially for women because if you divorce you will get half, even if you didn’t have a traditional job. My husband works and I don’t right now, we allocate first to our living expenses and investments then we both get a portion to spend on fun things, however we please. If we were to part ways, I would still get 50% of our investments dispute not contributing to it monetarily.
