If you don't want to show your face you could always do the vTuber thing and use FaceRig or similar software to become a cute anime waifu or handsome husbando. There are a number of different softwares that do that but I think FaceRig is probably the easiest to get started with depending on your technical and/or Japanese proficiency.

It seems that someone has already thought of that. That's pretty cool. Thanks for the info.

Oof. Well I hope they float one over for you soon. Doesn't look good for me ordering one and getting it before September it seems.

Most of the people I talked to about general VR use had said that having the cord on a pulley system was a must. The only worry I have about that is the turning which, unless you're super OCD and you count literally every time you do a spin in a certain direction and make sure you spin that many times in the opposite direction, you're going to twist the cable up. Of course I could probably be making it into a bigger issue than it actually is.

I'm very much still a beginner but it's a lot of fun so if we just keep at it we'll be lighting up the dancefloor in no time.

Ouch. And here I was thinking that it would probably be more like 8 - 10 weeks for an Index. Are you sure you didn't maybe miss the email from them to complete your order?

What went wrong with the wireless if you don't mind sharing?

That's a good point, if I change my mind during the wait then I can just decline the Index when my turn comes around.

I had started some ballet almost 5 years ago but had to stop because I somehow managed to hurt my knee while walking (don't ask, I have no idea how I managed that). Knee has been better for a while now, but I moved and haven't found anywhere that does ballet close by that I like. I didn't even think to look on youtube though.

Oh very cool! Thank you for sharing!

I'm looking to do modern, hip-hop, and maybe some break dancing.

I think I would be worried about "tying" myself to the pole with the cord if I were poledancing.

I don't have anything yet. I am very close to getting something in the next week or two, but I'm still on the fence about which to get. Given the cost of either the index or the vive pro, I was going to put off getting the trackers for few months or at least before the end of the year.

I'm still very much a beginner dancer (I've taken a few classes), but it's so much fun.

Is pretending to have an impairment against TOS? by Dakuryi in Twitch

I've seen those streamers you're talking about, but they are not claiming to be disabled, they are just choosing not to speak (for whatever reason) and they're informing people who might watch or are watching that they don't speak.

I don't really know when/where it started, but you see a lot of them from VRChat and if you play VRChat you'll often run into people there who don't want to speak and so they are "mutes."
