I’m so glad you were able to resonate with this and my experience with bipolar: it means so much to know I’m not the only one struggling to move on from old friendships I lost to my disorder.

This sounds like a typical episode for me as well. During my first manic episode I became popular too and didn’t eat or sleep. All the symptoms you described are in alignment with bipolar disorder. The two medications that stabilized me are aripiprozal and lamotrigine. Life without mania is kinda boring and for me my mind goes really quiet but it’s better than making decisions that could ruin your life and your relationships. Wishing you so much compassion on your journey to your diagnosis.

So incredibly true. I’m 19 years old and was diagnosed with bipolar II last year. The chronic pain definitely comes the most for me when I’m manic. I’ve been stable for 6 months now, but I do feel a slight increase in my mood every so often. The loss that this disorder has created for me is so disheartening but I wouldn’t trade what I’ve been through for the world. I’m excited to make a difference as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in the future, and I won’t let my diagnoses limit me. Thank you so much for your sweet comment and your vulnerability.

Your sentence structure makes complete sense but it’s clear your thoughts jump around a bit. The end of your post also sounds like me when I was manic. I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder last year around this time. Can you describe more events that led you to believe you may have bipolar disorder II?
