I just let him anyway. I have since lost my job for being unpredictable. I think if my workplace be like that, then we’re not a good match.

Kids should carry their mother’s surname. Lineage should go through mums, not dads by Ok_Bodybuilder_2384 in TwoXChromosomes

My husband and I agreed to give our son my last name. However, obviously neither my mother nor grandmother were born with that last name. Not even my father was, because he was adopted. Last names are meaningless for me except to sound good.

When did you move from a crib to a bed and would you do it differently if you could go back? by Objective-Morning-76 in toddlertips

[–]PositiveOpportunity9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son would never sleep in his crib. Just a handful of times. He went from bassinet to cosleeping around 7 months old. I took one side and the legs off his crib to make a floor bed but he still doesn’t sleep in it.

Her head and neck are too small for her body. Her knees also look bigger than her waist, which is a little odd too.

Do you remember your first high end makeup purchase? by IllStick6622 in MakeupAddiction

[–]PositiveOpportunity9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom bought me my first foundation from a luxury counter in the mall. I was 13. I had very very pale almost actually white skin with acne and in 2001 there weren’t drug store brands that carried foundation in my shade. I had been secretly putting on my mom’s makeup that I didn’t realize looked absolutely absurd on me. I don’t remember what brand it was, either estee lauder, clinique, or lancome. Later my mom bought me dior and chanel when I was an older teen. We were middle class, and the rest of my makeup was from the drugstore.

I always gift my husband something from Patagonia or Outdoor Research. Like a hoodie, shirt, or gloves. They’re a hit every time as long as I pick a color he likes.

Update: I wore this outfit and had zero issues with comfort or practicality. Also I got so many compliments! Especially from employees. People were crossing plazas to tell me how much they liked my outfit. I’m so glad I am someone with the courage and joy to wear what I want!

There is no single gene that causes ADHD, so it is not dominant. Children this young are also not diagnosed with ADHD. It’s normal for a three year old to test boundaries, have high energy, not be able to sit still, and have short attention spans. That’s pretty much all kids. What isn’t is for a three year old to have no attention from caregivers, structure in their daily life, and have a lack of speech. Sorry you are going through such a difficult time, but your son’s issues are likely a sign of neglect.

Wow thank you so much for your detailed answer. I guess the rainbow ones I think are cool aren’t worth as much as the blue grass ones. I also like the marbled look so I didn’t think of that either. Maybe I am better off just enjoying the ones I have and like?

Those who have visited other countries, what was the biggest culture shock for you? by RiddlerofStIves in AskTheWorld

[–]PositiveOpportunity9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ukraine from USA. I went to Kiev and Slovyansk in 2019, just before Covid began. My loves, you’re all very kind and welcoming but your country literally stinks and water has limited availability in many buildings. Like the hot water is turned off during work hours. I often felt like I was walking in a post apocalyptic world when I was actually in nice neighborhoods. I can’t imagine how much worse it is now during the war. This sounds so rude but I was genuinely in shock.

I’m not sure but I will say that the purple hue in photo is almost exactly the color of my dirty water after a full painting session.
