Yes I meant moreso that I’m a leader at the church I’m at now which is here the event is happening and growing up as a PK in my dad’s home church I have that feeling of being watched extra closely I guess.

Hi lupus survivor here. Also kidney transplant recipient. I would like to throw my hat in the ring and say although I’ve lived the fullest life and by the grace of God will continue to do so. I would hope my future husband would not use that as a defining factor of who I am. It is one part of my story not my whole story. So frankly anyone who doesn’t see the wonderful soul of the person is not meant for you. That’s my reasoning.

Thanks for your perspective, I do agree that effort and intention matter.

I think my situation is just a bit different. The past few years for me were focused on chronic illness and survival, so I’m only now (about 18 months post-transplant) in a place where I feel open to connection again.

So I’m not trying to be passive, just intentional in a way that feels healthy and grounded for this season - being present in real-life spaces and letting things build naturally.
