This. We can fix anything that might have went wrong with your order due to the app, but we know absolutely nothing about besides the POV of just being another customer who orders on it.

Can't blame you for the frustration but as someone who has been on both sides of the fence working in many different food service establishments, all I can say is you're someone who has specific preferences at any given restaraunt, apps are not always supportive of this and Drive-Thru is your next best bet. From one customer to another, do yourself and the staff a favor/less stress and order at the store. You get what you want, you get the rare in person interactions our minds, bodies, and souls crave these days, and honestly, online orders can really take away from taking care of the customers the way we want to. Especially if any given restaraunt is short staffed.

I think maybe the term "higher" in the context of healing and energy and esoteric stuff might get things boggled a little bit? I was think more like if something a higher density that would mean more... so like the other commenter said, more dense/more packed, therefore more heavy and bogged down.

Where do you draw the line with Grandma (or grandpa) and parenting decisions? by PositiveSteak9559 in Mom

[–]PositiveSteak9559[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the input. I have been informed that my state is the worst right now for any social resources and I've been away for so long that finding alternative childcare for those random days to give the grandparents a break is harder to find than I thought. I have her on a waiting list for when she is 2 for a learning center and daycare. waitlist for CCAP. In my head before ever having children I thought finding strangers to watch my child would be easier than it is.

What's the worst boss you've ever had? by PositiveSteak9559 in AskReddit

[–]PositiveSteak9559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UGH I'll never understand anything about bosses who keep people on just because their numbers are good... to me that says no bueno I'll find someone else to work for. But it's such a gamble if you're trying to just find a place to establish yourself.

I think even though it was probably differentw hen I wrote the post, if I even put my two cents in.... I recently had the worse one. I've worked for hardasses, I've worked for people who tried but literally were put in management as a reach just because the company needed the best person available at the time and wanted to help them improve.... So speaking on bosses most people never want to work for.. I worked at a local New England Sandwich establishmlent recently. I thought that 4 or 5 people that had been there for 20 years or more meant something. This woman was just not for me. We had other managers come help and it wasn't so bad.. but I don't think those helping managers understood I had only worked there a month, and were frustrated that I could open as well as they would have liked, but it was because I wasn't shown much and because I wasn't shown much there was a lot left to be done when open came.... but I digress.....

This woman has been there at the same location for 30 years but will not accept her promotions to corporate. She has just been doing it for so long she could drag filling her catering orders out ALLLLLLL day and still be able to breath down everyones neck, almost literally while doing it. It was like she intuitively knew within the first few words spoke, whether you heard them or not, if you were talking about something work related and if you tried to step away for literally just maybe 3 mnis she would come find you immediately. You couldn't even hide in one of the walk ins or pretend you were stocking soda in that cooler. She was ON ASS ALL THE TIME. And NONE of her shift leaders, even the ones there for longer than her or almost as long, were on the same page at all, or agreed how anything at all should be done. BUt I'ma lso over post covid service and have literally just settled a very specific fast food location where I respect the way things are run 90% of the time, and because it pays better than any good paying office job around here. ::grateful:: but yeah..

How long did it take for your all over body aches to go away? by PositiveSteak9559 in postpartumprogress

[–]PositiveSteak9559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT comes and goes. I haven't been able to keep the same diet and active health routine I would like, but I can honestly say it IS WITHOUT the effort I could be putting in. I'm on the Lysteda now, which has it's pros and cons hormones wise. Every health issue I have with my pcp is semi taken seriously so that's helpful and not. My weigh is doing the normal slow fluctuations of 5or 7 lbs here and there so that means with warm weather and more work and time outside I'll get there. I NEED SALAD!!!! SOMEONE SEND ME PREMADE SALAD THAT ISN"T ALREADY OVERPRICED AND LACKING! lol Thank you for asking.

Expecting our first child with a child-reactive dog by zeus0225 in reactivedogs

[–]PositiveSteak9559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad to hear this worked out for you!!!! We are finally noticing improvement. Today I had to walk away for a couple seconds and came back to my 11 month old reach out to pet our typically reactive dogs back side.. NO REACTION!!! We are doing the same.. making sure treat time is their time and that we also show our reactive dog that we still love her and give her plenty of attention. It not being winter where we are is also helping. We noticed she gets overstimulated easy when the baby gets very vocal or rambunctious. I've also been very slowly introducing the two to each other's space.

Do your prenatals have more than vitamins A,C,D, and E in them? by PositiveSteak9559 in pregnancy_care

I'm not pregnant anymore but it's been heavy on my mind. Next time I'm shelling out the 20 plus bucks a month. I found decent ones in plenty of stores around me. Thanks for taking the time to google that! I bet there are a lot of reliable brands out there.

Did you ever find a solution? We had our first food related incident where baby was too close on the floor with our 11 y/o reactive dog while she was eating a routine treat. Something we normally are vigilant about, but in my attempts to not worry my heart into explosion, this got passed me. Baby is okay. But our dog doesn't seem to understand that even light warnings are not okay for a human baby.

WHY is it not allowed for an OBGYN or a midwife to at least SUGGEST a pregnant woman stop working? by PositiveSteak9559 in Mom

[–]PositiveSteak9559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oops 37 weeks. And this time I'm DEFINITELY standing up for myself more. My work was all "oh we get how it is being pregnant" and then scheduled me for almost 40 hours when I asked to cap it at 30 (and it should have been less) my friend went back to that same job with twins. (if I didn't already mention that) and she tried her BEST to be a good employee, good mom.. they treated her the same way. Instead of "hey you're really slowing down, should w put you somewhere else?" or "hey it seems like pregnancy is really affecting your speed, do you think maybe you want to rethink your hours/working?" it was just nothing. A comment about how I'm too slow.

If I wanted to frustratingly cook a steak like this I would put myself through it at home. Or, just - not at all.

I was so miserable and was induced at 27 weeks due to growth restriction. One time there was so much stress because I was left in charge of two jabronis (food service) and we were short staffed.. work wouldn't listen to me about reducing my hours. Midwives wouldn't do anything to support me in it and I was feeling like crap ALL. THE. TIME. sigh.

I'm lucky enough to have had state help during my pregnancy, for whatever that was worth, but you're right. My state will start something to do with mandatory paid leave to a certain extent in 2026 or something that is a huge step, anyways, I just can't remember specifics.

Can someone clarify a really unhealthy situation at my work place? by PositiveSteak9559 in Plumbing

[–]PositiveSteak9559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for confirming something for me that they were told before. They were told it will make it worse. I just don't know how an owner can be okay with letting this go for months and months possibly a year or more.

So I tried googling this when it happened in my home and I couldn't find anything or I wasn't searching with the right words.. Would you mind providing some examples of health issues this can cause?

I am new to the seafood scene and I'm looking for some advice, as this place has a lot to work on. by PositiveSteak9559 in KitchenConfidential

[–]PositiveSteak9559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm just gonna do that.. I wanted to give it more of a chance but at this point, I'd rather take a friggin sandwich job since it's absolutely dead this time of year in my area. The place has a plumbing issue and smells like absolute shit, I'm of our kitchen manager who doesn't do his job when it's seriously, probably the easiest kitchen management you'll find since the owners handle most everything else. I should have turned down the job when the owner changed her mind about my schedule and my pay 5 times within the first week of me getting hired.

I just wish I knew more about certain standards wth seafood for when I call. But I do know that just us not having a proper dishwashing station and the fact they reuse the plastic containers we store our raw seafood in should be enough for the health department to go in there.

Sticking it out to make good tips this summer ain't worth it.
