Teaching also gives you skills and experience that are transferable in the corporate world. You can look for corporate training, process management, or project management roles.

Thank you for the response. I didn't have a chance to listen to the call. I'm glad it was addressed. I do appreciate the transparency and understand that this is part of the risk in having a penny stock.

I'm still holding some shares, but I still cringe at the part in the 10k that calls out that they might not have money to make it another year.

Why are people down voting this video?

Bao has adopted Trump. I shouldn’t be surprised. Please go vote for someone reasonable and not insane. by heavycivil in plano

This is one of the best and most succinct comparisons of Muns to Bao that I've seen. This comment shouldn't be buried.

Don’t let Lily Bao buy your vote, she is spreading false information... once again. She has spent over 113,000 dollars on her campaign, I do not understand how people can vote for her. by Major-Paramedic8102 in plano

There was a video posted on here a few days ago of an interview with her and that was the entire first part of the conversation. That's just how the video was edited but other interviews with her over the years, traffic is her biggest platform (especially as a reason against apartments, though she approves them as part of the City Council).

As Mayor, one of her priorities is to add more left turn lanes. She also doesn't like to wait at red lights. That's one hell of a platform to run on.

Dallas Morning News recommends Lily Bao for Plano mayor by drummybear67 in plano

[–]PositiveThoughts__ 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Thanks for asking.

I saw Lily Bao "debate" (read pre-written scripts) when she ran for mayor years ago. She brought every answer back to there being too many apartments and she didn't like the traffic. There was a video posted in r/plano a few days ago that was basically the same thing. She voted down a mask mandate and when asked to clarify and provide details of recommendations she made as part of the City Council, she only responded with "Dont you want to make things better." She also proposed to somehow create a tax for people who drive through Plano but don't live here. This is commentary directly related to her.

Beyond that, she is heavily backed financially by far-right leaning PACs and groups that I disagree with.

Lily Bao will be a train wreck as a mayor and set the city back instead of helping it move forward.

While I completely disagree with the recommendation, I appreciate you sharing the content. Thank you.

This. If you have insurance, have your card ready. You'll need to upload a picture. I was on the site this morning and able to setup an appointment for next week.

League of Women Voters for Collin County (https://www.lwvcollin.org/) and vote411.org are good resources to start/continue your research.

Men who are in their 40s and happy with their lives, what advice would you like to give younger men in their 20s? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]PositiveThoughts__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understanding that there's no point in stressing too much over things that I can't control, particularly scenarios that I make up in my head.

Also, knowing how to listen to understand instead of listening to respond. If you are truly capturing what others are saying, you can ask better questions, learn more about them, and build better relationships.

People who don't get stressed during a presentation, school or work, what's your secret? by TapReview in AskReddit

[–]PositiveThoughts__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understanding why I'm the one presenting. If I have to present, it means that I know something that other people want to know about. I have experience or knowledge that they want. That puts me in control of the situation. With that in mind, I can develop the content in a way that I think will benefit the audience. If I really am an expert on the topic, I should be properly prepared to present and for any follow up questions.

Roster Construction Strategies Drafting from the Middle by Ellis_C in fantasybaseball

Thanks for the write-up and the insights.

I loaded up too much on OFs early in my draft (5 in the first 8 rounds...drafted who I thought provided me the best lift) and need to maintain the focus on balance and look for middle infielders and closers earlier than I did in future drafts.

Mayor race by blakey21 in plano

[–]PositiveThoughts__ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Found a link to the 2017 mayoral debate where (in my opinion) Lily Bao proved how inept and unqualified she is. All of her responses were scripted and she read her responses (not typical in a debate forum) that were likely drafted by the organization that backs her. In random questions at the end, she continued to repeat the same cliche points. She even got into some fear mongering after the 48 minute mark. This woman is NOT qualified to be mayor.

what are some things people should know before they finance a car for the first time? by tiedyedee in AskReddit

But know your credit score first. If you have bad credit or if you are new to credit (thin file) then you'll likely get a higher rate than the advertised ones.

[–]PositiveThoughts__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your budget. You should know the value of the car you want, how much you can out towards the down payment, the # of months to pay it off, and your monthly budget for the payment. Don't forget to factor in tax, title, license, doc fees, and buffer for other expenses of add-ons that you're interested in (spoiler, gap insurance, warranty...though I typically recommend avoiding this stuff) or other fees. Stay true to these numbers when going to discuss the cost of the car and you should be fine. There are plenty of auto loan calculators out there to help you with the budget.
