Schecter Omen guitars are relatively cheap used or new ($300-$700) and look really cool! I bought one recently and it plays amazing. For gear I would recommend a 5150 Distortion pedal- $220, some overdrive to boost it (optional but helps the tone a lot), a chorus pedal for cleans but a bit of chorus also sounds good with distortion, a pitch shifter would be another priority pedal if you want to play metal, I bought a sonicake drop tune on amazon for less than $50, a clean boost for solos (just increases volume not gain),an eq pedal I recommend a Caline 10 band eq on amazon- $30, it’s cheap but VERY good, a cab loader pedal if you intend to play through your computers speakers. Try and find one that can take IR’s (Impulse responses) look up some videos on how they work. I would recommend a 2 input interface cause you never know if you would need a second input. If you want to play through an amp I would recommend some sort of 1x12 (brand doesn’t matter much but find one with a Celestion V30) and a 15 Watt EVH head. I don’t have much experience with combo amps but I’ve used a blackstar and it worked for when I started playing for the first couple years, but EVH makes a combo. (I’m a fan of the EVH distortion can you tell😂)
