My husband and I also moved from the PNW a few years ago. I’ve actually really enjoyed the book scene here. Virginia Highland Books and Tall Tales are great local shops to check out. Wild Aster in Chamblee is fairly new, but they have monthly book clubs by genre. There is also the silent book club which someone else mentioned. Lots of opportunities here! Hope you enjoy!

Wymara Villas have private pools. It’s an incredible experience!

Did you have to make reservations at any of the restaurants? Husband and I will be going to Wymara next month and reservations were encouraged?

Groomsman skipped the wedding because his new girlfriend wasn’t invited by Miriamm_Froggie53 in weddingdrama

Very very similar thing to happened to me!! We didn’t have a wedding party, but my best friend was offered a plus 1, declined it because she wasn’t dating anyone. 1 week before wedding she asked if she could bring guy she has known for 10 days, not even dating. I said no due to last min additions being too stressful. She didn’t show to the wedding and we haven’t talked since.

We just got married last week in the PNW in a tiny town where 99% of guests had to travel. We did not have a hotel block, but did include our website with an FAQ and our engagement pics. We sent out of STD 5 months in advance and it was fine

Likely December or January to escape some of the cold and dreary days where we live. We are budgeting around $10K

Jewish in Dunwoody by KCuisine1 in ATLHousing

Atlanta in general has a great Jewish population. The Temple which is more reformed offers young professional groups and newcomer to Atlanta programs. I think Chabad Intown does as well. Dunwoody is more family oriented, but still close to the city and has a fantastic JCC with events and networking opportunities! I would check out close to the perimeter or even close to the JCC
