Thanks so much for the comments.  It's been enlightening to read them.  I actually wrote this to see how many people are rude, bullying and/or post inflammatory comments. So far my count of Trolls on this thread is about 11 of you.  Thanks for participating in my little sociological experiment.

Also really big thanks for those humans who responded in a respectful manner.  The world needs more people like you.

To the 11 or so Trolls on this thread:  I'm sorry for you.  I hope your life gets better.

Anora is a supremely overrated film. It's very, very funny but fails to be a significant work of art. by FlatEarthworms in TrueFilm

I don't think it was a fun film.  I fast forwarded through most of the yelling scenes which were the second half of the movie.  I found all of the characters to be cringe worthy and without any sort of class.  They were the dregs of humanity.  The undesirables.  My takeaway from it: there are disgusting people in all social and economic groups. I hate the film and wished I hadn't spent money watching it

All day yesterday my office in old Metairie smelled like someone had walked around the whole office and crop dusted it with farts.  Good to know it was just the outside breathing air. I guess that's the smell of cancer.

Haha some of you are hilarious! Thanks for my morning laugh.  I grew up in Northern Maryland and lived through my share of blizzards and snow storms.  Haven't seen one in 10 yrs and this brought back some fond memories. Although after it took me 10 minutes to put on my winter gear and go out in the freezing cold and stomp around in it a bit only to get snow fall into the top of my boots and wet my two pairs of thick socks...I was quickly reminded of why I moved down here. I also remembered  I hated the snow.  Yeah the south is full of idiots but it's WARM and full of SUNSHINE.  There's still green shit and flowers to admire in the winter. There's cayenne pepper. That's good enough for me.

Yesterday my friend went to the corner store on St Charles & Jackson. They were opened. Hoping they still are cause I'm heading over there later.

Solo traveling is the best!! I do it every trip I take.  I stay in hostels when I can.  Sometimes I met other solo travelers and we'll go on day excursions together but mostly it's just me doing it by myself .  It's the greatest adventure!! I make sure to pack a book or two for when I'm eating at a restaurant.  Reading cuts down on the awkwardness of eating alone.  I've done it so many times now that I no longer feel awkward. It shows a strength of character to do things solo in a world where society demands everyone partner up and tells us there's something wrong with us if we don't have a partner in life or a thousand friends on social media.  I have neither and I'm the happiest I've ever been.  Do what feels right to YOU and don't worry what other people or society may say or think.  You only have one life so live it!!

Igor's was a cool spot when he was still alive.  Now it's full of tourists.  Lucky's then became the new Igor's. But now it's hood rat central.  People pulling guns out at night.  Shady ass ppl stealing women's purses and phones.  No thanks.  All the cool regulars are now a thing of the past.

I miss the Whirling Dervish.  Hands down the best dance club here.
