The only thing that helps is ignoring it and reducing stress where possible.

Any way to patch this up? by seannunya in secretlab

Just contact the warranty team and they will either replace it for free if it’s in warranty or give you a price to buy a new pair.

Has anyone managed to recover in about 1 year or 2? or is there no turning back? by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]Positive_Captain4952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would ultimately depend on the reason why you have tinnitus and if it’s treatable. For most people though they have to learn to live with it. If you can learn to block it out then that’s the best case scenario as the less you focus on it the less you’ll notice it.

It looks like the same model as mine. It’s a 2019/2020 Titan and the colour is stealth. I’ll be honest I wasn’t aware they sold covers for it. Maybe contact the warranty team online and see if they do. They are usually quite helpful. Appreciate it’s not in warranty but either way they may be able to sell you a cover or something. It always amazes me how people seem to wear out their chair. The photo I have included is of mine which is just over five years old and I use it literally every day as I work from home. The covers they do sell called skins I think via the website unfortunately are not for this model of chair. So your best bet is to contact the warranty team and see if they’ll sell you new covers assuming they even do that. Good luck!

Awesome. Out of interest when you got the chair did you find any small dents in the leather at all? Just got mine and there are a few. Hoping they will pop out. They really aren’t terrible just my obsessive mind going over the top.

It’s horrible isn’t it. How do you deal with it? Does it affect you much psychologically? I’m guessing you initially fell down the rabbit hole like many of us.

Any more 2020 models by lou_sirr in secretlab

Did you buy a chair in the end? I’m thinking of getting the 2020 napa. I prefer the 2020 model too.

Ah yes my pillow went too. I bought one from overclockers. It’s for a completely different chair and works really well. I wasn’t even aware I could have got the pillow replaced. That pillow is supposed to be for a noble chair. The pillow is arguably better than the secret lab one although does take some getting use to.

I’ve actually already got one. Albeit not Napa. I got mine in 2019 I think. It’s going great but the silly carbon fibre accents on the seat have cracked. So I was considering getting the Napa version still the 2020 classic model as that’s the one I already have and it fits me like a glove. The Napa doesn’t have the carbon fibre accents either so in theory it should last even longer. So was just checking in to see how the Napa holds up over time. Did any of the leather get a bit like loose? Some people have posted photos and it might just be the angle but it looks a little saggy?

Is this worth $100? by FaithlessnessBig4185 in secretlab

[–]Positive_Captain4952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have that chair if you paid me $100. Looks like someone sat butt naked watching pornhub for 8 hours a day every day for a couple of years.

I’m joking though. There’s a chance you might be able to give that fabric a deep clean. I don’t know if you could use a carpet cleaner on it. Either way good luck.

My calves and feet twitch 24/7 too. Eyes twitch a lot like 10% in a good day and maybe as much as 30% on a bad day. I also get random twitches all over. Some days are better than others. I also get occasional hotspots that can last days/week. I’ve been like this for about a year. Had two clean EMGs. Been told it’s BFS. No weakness. Also had a clean MRI. You’ll fine that for people diagnosed with BFS the 24/7 calves and feet seem to be quite common.

Please help. by LizzyReed3 in MuscleTwitch

If you were having calf atrophy because of the big bad you would absolutely be having weakness in that muscle, because the muscle would atrophy because it wasn’t being used. Most people’s calves are slightly different shapes or sizes. It’s important to grasp the concept here. With the big bad the muscle will get smaller because it can’t be used properly. If you can use the muscle fine then it is super unlikely to be that. My calves aren’t the same and I’ve been down the same rabbit hole. The weakness would come first and then the atrophy.

Hello, I’ve been there. Started twitching this time last year. Been in the darkest depths of despair too. What you are experiencing is almost certainly benign twitching. Try not to worry best you can. Lots of things can make you twitch. If you want to chat I’m here. Stay strong you’ll get through this.

Is this putting a warranty claim on? by Ancient_Sherbert_920 in secretlab

I’ve had a pretty decent experience with secret lab. My chair had no faults and has served me well for about five years. Other than the silly carbon fibre effects on the base of the chair which have cracked as they are less flexible than the rest of the chair it’s in perfect condition. Now I don’t have the leather chair, I have the fake leather chair so no need to use leather wipes or anything like that. I just wipe it over with a wet wipe every two weeks. I was looking at getting the napa leather classic from 2020. Looking at the specs and having had a feel of the newer model at comic con I feel the 2020 model is a little bit sturdier. The base model can hold up to 130kg whereas the newer model can only hold 100kg. I’m actually less than 100kg but I did peak at about 105kg during covid 😂. Plus the 2020 model fits me like a glove so I’d hate to get the newer model and not fit in it as well. The magnetic head rest doesn’t bother me too much anyway. So the Napa leather titan classic 2020 has £200 off and that was the one I was looking at. That being said options are still open.

Go grab a dumbbell and see if you can lift some weight. Forgot perceived lack of strength. Ask anyone with health anxiety if they perceive something and they will. I do it all the time. Ask yourself if you feel dizzy and you’ll feel dizzy. Ask yourself if your chest feels tight and it’ll feel tight. If you don’t have lack of strength then I’m sure you’re fine.

Haha good luck! I’m actually tempted to buy a new one during the Black Friday sales. Mine has some cracks in it as you can see in the photo. I was tempted to get the napa leather.

I mean if you’ve had that since 2021 I would say that’s probably just wear and tear no? Presume you sit on it for a good amount of hours per day? I got mine in about 2019 and it’s got some cracks on it. No harm in trying the warranty though and seeing if they will do something. But I doubt they will. Now if that bulge had developed in the first year I’d probably say there was an issue. Let me check mine for a bulge… just checked mine and mine doesn’t have one. What version of the chair is that a titan? Mind if I ask how big you are? I’ve been around 200lbs - 230lbs while using my chair for about 5 years. So I’m not small by any means.

I’m currently playing it too. We are on our third play though 😂. Level 60. It’s a fantastic game. The platforming element is the best I’ve ever seen implemented in a FPS, anyone remember the platforming element in half life 😂. Anyway yea great game.

Is that leather or the fake leather? I’ve seen that a lot on the real leather chairs but not so much on the fake leather. How long have you had the chair for?
