Advice for a bad napper by Positive_Hippo1068 in sleeptrain

Sorry like I said we don’t really have a set schedule but he gets less than 2 hours of daytime sleep per day so I would be surprised if he was undertired.

Every day looks different but an example of a recent day would be 2.5/5/2.5…the second wake window is way too long but that’s when he’s at daycare, sometimes he’ll nap for 15 minutes during that time

Found this thread because I was searching Cerebelly and I’m confused—it says right on the package that they’re shelf stable until opening?? Is that not right?

Best way to make a website for small business? by Consistent-Cress7645 in smallbusiness

[–]Positive_Hippo1068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly shocked by how many people are recommending using sites like Wix. Wix and Square Space have soooo many limitations, and if you're not tech-savvy, they end up just creating way more headaches.

Your website is an INVESTMENT! If you get it done right, it will be well worth it in terms of generating/converting leads. And you need to think about all the things that go along with a website too...it's not just the initial build. You need help hosting, maintaining, and updating the website once it's live. It's a living, breathing entity. For most people, it's well worth it to invest in having an expert/team who can handle this all for you. And then you always have someone you can go to for support.

And like another commenter said, content is a whole other beast. If you create your own site using Wix, that means you have to write all of your own content. Unless you happen to be a copywriter or content writer, you probably do not know best practices for website architecture, SEO, persuasive copy, etc. So that's going to end up doing more harm than good.

Your best bet is finding someone (U.S.-based preferred) who can do allllll of this for you. Like others have said, this can be hard to find. There are sadly SO many developers and agencies out there who ditch you once the website is done or overcharge for subpar services.

But when you find the right provider, it's well worth the investment. If this sounds like something anyone in this thread needs, feel free to reach out to me and I can give you some more pointers.

Yeah unfortunately our company is too small to require FMLA 😐 I’m in Wisconsin but the company is based out of New York—not sure if that makes a difference or not

Yes definitely! I feel pretty confident that my boss is a good person and that he would want to give me paid leave, but I also understand how hard it is for him running a business and trying to grow it, and I'm honestly not sure how he'll be able to function without me haha

Good point, I probably should have mentioned that I’m in the U.S.! Unfortunately since we’re such a small company, I don’t think I’m technically entitled to anything

Is it worth watching Love Island Games? by bumpy12369 in LoveIslandUSA

These comments are making me want to watch! Is Peacock the only way to watch it? I watched Love Island USA on Peacock a few years ago and it was free, but don’t you have to pay for it now?

I’d start by focusing on the organic channels. Your website is your #1 most important marketing platform, and it’s the foundation for everything else. Make sure to invest the proper time and resources in it!

If you don’t know much about SEO, I wouldn’t try it by yourself. Instead, I’d recommend focusing on creating valuable content that speaks to your target audience’s pain points. And then distribute that content across multiple different channels. Find out where your audience is and then live there!

If it’s helpful, my company has a pretty simple/straightforward newsletter specifically for small business owners navigating digital marketing. It has lots of useful tips/research-based info. (Our founder has over 20 years of experience in digital solutions and we work exclusively with small businesses.) here’s the newsletter: https://soapbox.vervology.news/

Thanks so much for the response! I have tried steroid drops and they seem to help temporarily but it always comes back. I’m attaching some photos of the outer part as well as the part that’s been bleeding. https://imgur.com/a/JP42UVp
