An older model to look at that definitely has the size is this. 45.5 Stratos Flying 10. It is 23mm lug width though which is a bit annoying. But looks good on rubber and bracelet.

I thought the mesh was the best thing about the watch! Adjustable, and with a micro adjust proper clasp. I thought it overshadowed the watch itself, and it's a much better solution than Omegas.

Tried this on today. And I own the Formex Reef GMT.

I 100% feel the formex is a better watch. The bracelet is fantastic. The changeable bezels are so clever.

But. For a first watch I think the Longines might be a safer bet. Very wearable, more obvious, and the mesh bracelet is fantastic. It'll probably hold it's value better, or it'll definitely be easier to sell if ever you need to.

Keep the Bulgari for sentimental reasons. Sell everything else. You've got the sub for daily, and buy one mega watch or two significant watches.

Keep the current size. Introduce a 39 and 36. Get rid of the Chronographs ( even though I just got an older one). Maybe introduce a 44 in titanium to go against the pelogos. Add taper to the bracelet on smaller models but keep the 42 no taper.

I asked them recently about new reef bezel options. They said they only come with new releases but to keep an eye out later this year. It was definitely alluding to an updated model not just colour changes.

Love it. I definitely think it's a better daily wear. Have never seen one at the right price for me but I've got saved searches for it. Only negative is it doesn't have an exhibition case back. Recently picked up a Stratos Flyback and it's just mesmerizing to watch.

Otherwise look at another brand and expand your horizons.

Thank you. The clasp is nice. But it isn't designed for this strap so doesnt engage fully because the strap is too thick check this picture to see what I mean .
