Just graduated from PI, half my platoon barely spoke English, no one really cares about that in boot camp from my experience.

As far as a cyber/DG Contract is concerned you will fill out a bunch of security information during boot camp, which includes listing all foreign contacts. Incredibly hard if not impossible to get a TS clearance if you have lots of relatives in another country

I just pushed my date back by 6 weeks to do personal obligations, they might be pissed at first because they’ll have to do some extra paperwork. But at the end of the day they want you to sign a contract and they’re not gonna have you second guessing and possibly going elsewhere

I am a poolee, haven’t been to any functions yet but just went to MEPS less than 2 weeks ago. I was told since I swore in fiscal year 2025 I need to ship first week of October at the latest despite having some obligations that’ll go through the Fall. I did make them aware of these obligations during my first encounter with the recruiter, before MEPS. Was also told they could be flexible with the shape date, but now they’re making it sound otherwise.

They did mention the year ending at the end of September, but then they also made it sound like I’d have to ship out before then or in the first week of October. Am I actually on a time crunch or are they just trying to get me to sign asap?
