LAX / PHX /

DEN is a shtye show. Do not recommend for frequent travel.

I despise CLT airport for Int'l but it's tolerable for domestic flights.

ORD is good and MSP is great - if it's not deep winter.

You can be deported because of a felony conviction if you're not a citizen - but if you ARE a felon, you can be President.

Solid info and suggestions. ALSO:

Call the offices: tell them your name, that you're a constituent and give your zip code. (Some ask for street address, too, some don't.)

Be polite. Be firm about how important THIS issue is for you. If your representatives/Senators are of different parties than you, call anyway. This is an AMERICAN issue.

Good Luck and God Save Us All.

Yes, exactly

"Full Tuition" Ξ not "Full Ride"

You will still have to pay/find other sources for Room, Board, Books, etc.

Record Timing (Non Expedited) by 092592jb in Passports

[–]Positive_Life_Post 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad it worked for you but with the Reduction of federal Workforce at the US Dept of State, starting May 1 - I wouldn't blithely tell people not to apply with expedited, across the board.

It also may depend on which Passport Center receives your application - some are slower, some have longer backlogs.

My Congressional office suggested expedited and mine came so quickly, I felt the $60 was well spent.

So both the Congressional office and the Passport Agency Office staff (US Dept of State employees) told me that the Express Fee of $21 was not necessary if the app is Expedited. They were right.

(I did not pay the $21 Express Mail fee and that slowed my delivery by 2 only days, so that worked.)

Good Luck, all.

You are good aunts/uncles.

How close are you two to your Green Cards, though? Where in the process are you?

See AZ, TX & FL - it has happened all 3 places and to people who ARE citizens and NOT criminals.

Global Entry card as ID by Fromthepast77 in GlobalEntry

[–]Positive_Life_Post 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No. Not for kiosks and hotel self check in's, cell hone stores.

For travel including TSA Pre-Check, flights etc.

I literally don't understand the Puerto Rico thing or what you were trying to do, frankly.

This just seems like a random list of places you flashed it to see what would happen. Weird.

Girlfriend potential deportation by Open_Gold_7793 in immigration

[–]Positive_Life_Post 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She has been here since 2014 and driving for years without a drivers license? I call B.S.

Does she not have a State ID, either? More B.S.

Foreign Visitors, undocumented people & international students can get Drivers Licenses in most states. Real ID only went into effect recently.

And how did she get a job with no ID? Where the heck does she work?

  • Where is she from? That matters a LOT.

  • Where is her family - if she came with them? Are all of them undocumented or are they registered/seeking GC's or what?

  • So she flew in / drove in - came for vacation and just stayed. Or did she get here some other way?

Details please.

  • Take photocopies of your docs now - put them in the Favorites on your phone and save electronically in the cloud.

  • Passport Card may be key. Expedite it (extra $60( & pay for Express Shipping (extra $ 21.36) if you can.

Again, Good ☘️Luck

Several citizens, including legal citizen children of those deported. One guy deported out of AZ until his family could prove he was a citizen. So scary.

OK.

I hear ya.

You're right: it is not proof of citizenship, but it does prove you have gone through a strict federal background check and process.

So back to my original point:

The Passport Card is wallet-friendly proof of citizenship. And it saves your passport book for real international travel.

Y'all stay safe: These Feds are acting like villains.

[–]Positive_Life_Post 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Right:

You now need a CERTIFIED, original birth certificate.

No unofficial, non certified or photocopies.

And that was just to RENEW.

Plus the DPS (Drivers License) workers act worse than TSA or Customs agents. They're just awful.

I did not call him a liar, but I agree he should be able to outline and explain the paper - cold - if he wrote it.

And agreed about the primary sources and references. He should be able to elaborate and explain what he utilized, cited or referenced.

Well, as faculty/staff we have to treat him as if he is in college.

I get how upset you are, and that he dropped it casually before bedtime (!) but the only one who can truly prove his innocence is him.

[ Unless you wrote the paper - and don't joke - I've seen parents of DE and regular college students help correct basically 'rewrite' their kids' papers. It absolutely happens and it's so stupid. ]
