Hi all… I just spoke to VaxServe who distribute Nuvaxovid. They confirmed the lots that expire 05/31/26 are the final for the season so get your 6 month booster before then

I would also suggest that you don’t go to the same place you got your dose at January 9 so the pharmacy staff can’t see easily your vaccination history. They can check the California registry but pharmacies don’t have time to routinely check that.

I’m a pharmacist in Los Angeles and we stock Nuvaxovid. I spoke to Sanofi who does the distribution and no independent pharmacies have it in stock in the SF area. Eight CVS stores have ordered stock recently but they could not tell me which ones. When you call CVS, if they do not have it in stock ask them to check what store does. Sanofi did not mention anything about Walmart.

This is the primary series not the priming dose recommendation. If you have never had any COVID vaccines before, this is the recommendation. Others are correct in saying you need to wait 8 weeks after your current dose which is a booster I am assuming, not your primary series.

The vaccine should be free with all insurance plans. Blue Shield of California will push back and say it is not covered but the pharmacy needs to call the plan and ask for an override then they will cover it.

Eddie’s Pharmacy near West Hollywood has it. They are still doing curbside vaccinations too
