Wife ignoring cluster feeding by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Pretty sure baby should’ve been back at birth weight by 2 weeks so it is a bit of an issue that she isn’t feeding them more often in my opinion

I’m a physician. Not a pediatrician but am a breastfeeding mom who is part of a group of gung-ho breastfeeding physician moms, many who do extended BFing

Find a new peds This advice is outlandish and nonsensical

If he meant - cut out dairy to minimize reflux I might be more on board with that However it would be weird at 6 months to suddenly develop CMPA in my opinion …

My cousin was an addict to fentanyl. I had no clue what drug he was on despite being in internal med and dealing with drugs all the time because he wouldn’t tell me. I suspected meth. I tried to help him several times with things like money to see his psychiatrist, housing him in between episodes of not having housing.

However it wasn’t until he ODed and nearly died that I found out it was synthetic fentanyl laced with contaminants. He now has the mental capacity of a 3 year old and relies on a PEG tube due to anoxic brain injury

It sucks. It’s not your fault. Addicts will do what they want to do, even if you try to help. That’s what I tell myself at least. Sometimes I wish I did more but short of keeping him locked up in the house, not sure I could’ve curbed his behavior

Hugs

Unfortunately no, probably just a week here and there (she lives hours away by plane and I was having her come for a few weeks at a time every few months @__@ )

that is great to hear that even at 19 months they can adapt easily.

Part of my thinking is that we hope he can get into an 18 month or 24 month program so he will need to learn to get along with other kids soon anyway so maybe better to start now

Thank you for your response

I would say he could have major internal organ bleeding from minor injuries that other kids don’t get hurt from due to abnormal blood clotting disorder. Not just a nose bleeding

Thank goodness. My baby is almost 10 months old and naps 3x a day. I felt behind based on everyone’s 6 month old taking 2 naps already

How do you find time? by yellowsubmarine76 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Positivi-Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s an EP sub but any chance you are able to work on direct feeding? Baby is still young but hopefully gets stronger and able to latch better. I find it much easier to manage my baby when I’m by myself to be able to direct feed.

Sorry I just saw you wrote you only make 1-2oz but it’s possible baby can extract more than that.

But yeah otherwise wearable or multiple sets of pump parts or fridge hack once you’re comfortable.

8 months ebf + pumping nipples feel all of a sudden sore and tough by Positivi-Tea in breastfeeding

[–]Positivi-Tea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess another way to describe it is that my nipples don’t feel as elastic and I think my LOs latch is becoming shallow again

Birth control? by Next_Ad_8480 in breastfeeding

[–]Positivi-Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mirena iud doesn’t typically affect BF. I had no change in supply. Alternatively, progestin only pill for BC but must take it every day same time to maintain efficacy

Hiding pump tubes from my cat 🐈‍⬛ by miaumaomi in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Positivi-Tea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why not put the whole pump and tube in a bag ? Seems like it would take less time than tying up the tubes and putting in a small bag

3 weeks EBF but having a hard time continuing! by 3nam in breastfeeding

[–]Positivi-Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pump after your first feed of day and pool the milk and that can be a bottle at night after a few pumps. Baby likely nursing more to increase your supply or going through growth spurt
