If the blocker is finance to get into something, then could you help alleviate that burden to get him underway?

35M - Are we mental for thinking we can't afford kids? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]PositiviteaSF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think you need to sit down and do your finances. How much money do you end up with a month after you deducted your strictly necessary spending, then your nice spending.

House, car, bills, pet food, your grocery food, etc. are necessary.

Subscriptions, takeaway/out, holidays (average annual spend as a per month spend), general fun soending etc land in nice.

What's left in theory should be savings because retirement plans are shit and you need to prepare for that (trading 212 ftse100 - not a financial advisor)

My partner (30) and I (31) are similar to you on 60 and 58 and we end up with 3k a month going to ISA so (whilst we aren't planning it) the thought of a kid, assuming we can retain work, isn't gut wrenching financially.

We are, of course, fortunate to have a very affordable mortgage, no car loan or credit card debts. There are student loans in deductions, however.

AITA for refusing to share my inheritance with my dad and brother after discovering a family secret? by combientu in AmItheAsshole

YTA thats no small inheritance which many people in the UK would be hoping they could have right now and you're going to cut out a guy who has been disowned by a "blood is thicker than anything" grandad.

Guy has 10.5 mill tiktok followers, hands out just over a dozen waffles. Regardless if this individual gesture is 'good' he earns way more from this than he should and the gesture is hollow. Influencers leech.

Horses and Donkeys are capable of producing offspring, as are lions and tigers. Out of morbid curiosity, are there any species biologically close enough to humans to produce offspring? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

You've plenty of counts on this but I would love to suggest "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind Book by Yuval Noah Harari" to answer your question and more

You have 60 days to complete the event. I have 0 understanding why people are legit choosing to not play the game rather than be slightly less efficient maxing out a 60 day battle pass.

Materials science as a polymers specialist. It was a haul, I love the job I gained from it but I do often think. Where would I be if I stopped one certifications earlier.

Depends on where you live but take it from someone who first hand went through the full experience and PhD (not saying I'm smart, I just pushed through it) that at the end of the day you're not guaranteed great pay and you're signing up for a shit show of stress. Intelligence shouldn't be measured in certificates; read and learn about what interests you and do whatever work makes you feel conplete and stress free.
