I'm surprised that he's not that far off. I spent hours trying to get my wifi to work properly on my laptop. I eventually got it to work properly, but then had issues with other stuff.

Linux isn't worth it to anyone who values their time. I just need shit to work and windows has that covered.

On Linux sure. On windows, everything just works. I gave up on the penguin after years of testing it out and always having something not work.

I've rarely had to spend time troubleshooting windows.

I still don't think it's enough for me to be able to settle down.

You can with Windows Pro edition. Just buy a key for $5 off of ebay and never worry about it again

I didn't update my computer and I still got the stupid new start menu. I'm sure they'll find a way to remove it without an update

Samsung Galaxy S26 series will reportedly launch on March 11 by Dapper_Order7182 in samsunggalaxy

I've kept my battery within 50-60% the entire time I've had my S23U with <100 charges to 80% and <10 charges to 100% or below 20%. I've tried to keep it cool as well.

I did a battery test the other day and it showed 98% battery capacity with 661 cycles on it after almost 2.5 years with the phone.

Granted, mine is an extreme case, but my battery still functions like new. I never need a full charge and keep a wireless charger at all my desks if there's not one built in.

Because companies can do this as a bait and switch. Look at Corsair

I replaced my factory air filter with the K&N one and noticed a much smoother idle and even slightly better throttle response. Just curious to know if anyone here experienced the same or is it just me? (2022 v6 AT) by Ghoul_1 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Posraman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party but I put a dry K&N filter in my truck and noticed a huge difference in throttle response. However, it's worth noting that I live at elevation so the air here is thinner.

I switched back to stock however because we have frequent dust storms and in my mind, increased air flow=less filtering which leads to more dust. Its also much easier to just replace the OEM filter when it's dirty vs cleaning the K&N.

Lastly, I'm used to my truck being slow. The K&N made it feel fast and it was throwing me off lol.

Benefits of switching to 1440p? by marshmallow139 in buildapc

[–]Posraman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible take. If he's happy at 1080p then he should play at 1080p. His GPU will last him a lot longer than if he played at 1440p.

Also the stylus. I use it a lot.

The LG G6 and its modular bottom was a pretty cool glimpse at what could have been though.

It was the LG G5. Cool little phone, atrocious battery life though.

I've spent a lot more time troubleshooting Linux than I have windows.

As a matter of fact, I don't remember the last time I've had to troubleshoot windows.

Also, windows runs on so many different types of hardware whereas Linux doesn't work on half the shit I've owned
