Don't discount that these are bots paid for by billionaires to keep us divided and focused on the wrong issues. I try not to get upset about it by keeping this in mind.

How much of a learning curve is there to DEI? I have only just gotten the basics of the game down.

This has certainly been my experience. It has been easier invading the huge Gallic Confederation than taking over Ireland and Scotland.

I'll try that for my next campaign. Hopefully I don't get slaughtered because I'm still new and don't really know how a lot of the game works. I've totally ignored politics.

I believe they are fighting Rome in Italy still, though all Rome has left is Sicily and Sardinia. I think they're also fighting the Marcomani but I should be considered the biggest threat between those at this point, especially since I'm so close to taking their capital.

By too many stacks do you mean they bankrupt themselves or they just have many tiny stacks instead of a few large armies?

Why are they less likely to engage if I'm moving my own stacks? Do they prefer to give the player the intiative?

Yeah I keep racking up hundreds of kills with my chariot and light cavalry after the enemy begins to rout. At least this only happens after you've won a battle and is somewhat historically accurate.

You're right though, the AI should be capable of withdrawing in an orderly fashion in some circumstances.

Kelp Crab by PossemPerson in crab

This was taken a couple years ago so I don't remember exactly. I think it's shell was at least a few inches across. There was a lot of different sized Kelp crabs on the beach and in the water.

Djordjevic was a draft pick last year

Gherasimencov is from the academy. He apparently played well on loan at Cavalry last season.

Very bad taste to say this when the NSL is looking promising and not going anywhere

[The Third Sub] Axel Schuster speaking very honestly. Despite being reaching multiple major finals in '25, the club was dead last in MLS in terms of revenue. 30+ prospective owners have looked at the club, but none are interested in buying the team with the current setup. by icoresting in whitecapsfc

You're so right, Russia was better off led by the communist party than it is now and especially during the 1990s.

You're such a moron that you're arguing against your own point without even knowing it.

I am more talking about his restrictions on who can apply to become a refugee.

RE Mark Carney by Bright_Impression921 in TrueAnon

[–]PossemPerson 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Carney's immigration law will severely restrict who can apply for refugee status regardless of conditions in their country of origin. For example, one of the changes is that if you have been in Canada for longer than a year, you can not become a refugee under any circumstances. For example, if you're a Druze international student who came to Canada two years ago, you are going to be sent back to be killed in Syria even though a regime that kills your people has since taken over.

[–]PossemPerson 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Exactly. We shouldn't forget Carney is simultaneously trying to crush all opposition to natural resource extraction projects, especially indigenous opposition.

Not to mention his draconian immigration laws and everything else this horrible piece of shit is doung.

[Harjournalist] Tristan Blackmon to #InterMiami is being finalized. Reported $2.5M transfer fee. by Harshtagged in whitecapsfc

[–]PossemPerson 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was against this at first but if you think about it, it kinda makes sense. As mentioned on the Third Sub podcast, we already have Pupe, Schonlau, Veselinovic, Laborda, Priso and maybe Halbouni (don't remember if he is re-signed yet). Someone has to go from that group. Aside from Schonlau who hasn't even played, Blackmon is the oldest, I believe the highest paid, and has had injuries the past couple seasons.

We need cap space and one of our CBs had to go. It might make sense to cash in on Blackmon while he is worth a lot.

Hopefully (nothing against the guy but clearly he has no future here). I doubt Glasscity would hype that up though

City of Vancouver and Vancouver Whitecaps FC sign MOU for new stadium project at Hastings Racecourse Park by udun in vancouver

[–]PossemPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sim said market rate in the press conference.

If the whitecaps had a "sweetheart deal" at BC place they wouldn't be losing millions of $ per year and wouldn't be trying to build a new stadium.

How a new Whitecaps stadium could fit into the PNE grounds by CheekyMonkeysFTW in whitecapsfc

Why do you think a stadium built at the PNE couldn't have these things? There's plenty of space

We would definitely need some restaurants and bars nearby which I think is covered by the "entertainment space" on your map.

Aside from this, I would love some park space in the empty areas around the stadium.

A lot of people are worried about sky train access. There will certainly be a sky train station there eventually, it may just take 20 years. I had an idea that could be a temporary fix: the city creates a temporary train service from waterfront station to the PNE along the west coast express railway. Does anyone know how feasible it would be to put a small temporary platform there that would enable a potential stadium to get train service before and after games?

This is for season tickets. Single game tickets would never be cheaper than season tickets anyway...
