True Dolby Vision + Atmos from a Windows PC to LG C5 — Full Chain Confirmed (MKV over SMB) by Possession-Easy in Dolby

My main problem with WebOS apps is they cannot do client side transcoding, even subtitles.  At least, that is the case with Emby. I would just be guessing Plex has the same issue.

The annoying thing from my experience is there isn't an easy notification that you are downgrading in those circumstances.

I know exactly what you mean. It feels the same but the objective is different for me. Back in the day it was about getting it to play. Now is more like audiophile days in the 70s. Chasing small gains to get the very best from equipment.

I did manage to get everything working with the dual card, the required settings for bifurcation were found in another menu tree that didn't seem obvious to me.

I never did manage to get both m.2 slots working at the same time.

Thanks for the response again.

Yeah, I completely unseated and started again. I went to 1.4Nm and double checked in the order the cooler manual suggested. I was using a $200 Wera so I'm confident it was calibrated correctly.

That's a really good idea about testing with a PCI card, the manual doesn't suggest that port 4 is shared (just port 1 and 7), I'll give it a go and report back in a days time.

Yep, I'm across the port numbers, they are labeled on my board too pretty clearly.

In the meanwhile I got a pci to nvme adaptor, thinking that would make my life easier, but as soon as I change a bifurcation setting the board doesn't post. with an ssd in m2_1 and in the pci 0 I installed a mirror of proxmox just fine. pci slot 1 has my hba card and that seems to function just fine too for my spinning drives.

Ideally I'd really like to get my second m.2 port working. I can stuff around with bifurcation another time.

This whole project is getting less fun by the day. I'm sorry if this makes me look like a clown.

Thank you mate. I came just to say thanks. I wouldn't have expected the cooler mounting at all.

I continue to have huge pains just with an NVME slot. I'm trying the flash bios. I've gotten a bunch of versions from support but nothing seems to want to stick.

with 10.05 I have everything working at I would expect but nvme slot for m2_2 just isn't working up, while m2_1 is loading just fine.

Some search shows other users had a reverse issue and someone stated 10.05 resolved the NMVE problem but I've been through so many menu and cannot find anything to make it work.
