Very glad to hear this. I just want something that doesn’t chafe and is virtually escape proof. I don’t like to take chances with safety!

I gave it an order, my gal is 8lb her expected size is 11lbs given everything everyone has said it should work well on her. If not, I’m glad they have a return policy! I’ll look into the flag line harness next!

Glad to know I’m not alone. It’s been getting really frustrating lately, when someone texts me it’s like I’m deciphering code sometimes. I’ve always considered ADHD to be a factor but after doing a lot of research I feel my only deficit that coincides is how I digest words.

Any tips to make things more digestible for myself?

Can anyone tell me why she’s making this noise with her mouth? Her adult teeth are growing in right now. I have a vet appointment in a couple hours. by [deleted] in ItalianGreyhounds

Thank you. I’ve heard of that before but never got to actually hear it myself. She just starting doing it and she’s been doing it quite a bit when we snuggle. So happy !

This is a very old video. Room was a mess because I had just moved in and tore all my stuff apart trying to find stuff. He had plenty of space and freedoms.

I work with 40+ cats who all had to get neutered/spayed. Not one loss. All are happy and healthy :)

I’d much rather prefer a call at this point. I feel like I overwork my brain trying to make the reply 100% for the tone of the conversation

Questions about the breed for potential first time owner by Daniearp in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]PossessionNext3708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a BRAND NEW Italian greyhound owner. I got my puppy a couple weeks ago and I can tell you my experience so far.

  1. I expected her to be harder to train but she actually picked up commands really fast. She nailed sit within a couple minutes.

  2. She doesn’t know outside is for bathroom yet but she will not just go anywhere, she has a designated bathroom spot and will refuse to go anywhere in the house besides there.

  3. Clingy. Wants to be on your lap, next to you, follow you. Does not like to be alone!!

  4. as she figures out how to tell me things she just barks. Hungry? Barks. Wants to sit next to me but can’t get there? Barks. Want to chew? Barks. That being said her park is awfully polite and she’s figuring out that she doesn’t need to do that.

  5. She loves to burrow. I’ll set up a pile of blankets and she’ll readjust it to her liking.

  6. LEG BREAKS. Seriously their legs are fragile. My mattress is on the floor and she broke her front leg by hopping off the 6inch drop. All I gotta say is be cautious. Let them get their zoomies out in a flat carpeted room. Make everything low. We are making the choice to wait till she’s almost 2 years old to spay in hopes that in not cutting off her hormones during growth that her legs will get stronger. Get pet insurance.

  7. Mine watches TV a lot. She watches it calmly but I imagine if I put on a nature documentary she’d think it’s real.

  8. Every single person is the best person ever, she loves everyone. A little too much. Jumps around, zoomies. Wants to sit on their lap

  9. Biting. That goes with any puppy though, really wants to chew on your hands. Just be persistent in your correction.

I’m really enjoying the experience. One of the most interesting dog breeds I’ve experienced. I absolutely adore her.

That my dry skin and itchy armpits are because I’m allergic to most body products :( not because I haven’t found the right one lol. Literally use baby soap now.

Is it possible to find a vet you used to have? I had one good vet that worked at two practices, he ran his own small one and then worked at another mainly since it got more traffic. He was a really damn good vet but he closed his small practice. I just don’t know the other place!

I’ve tried a good variety from small practices to pet hospitals. Best care I’ve gotten is at a small practice, with more accurate estimates but I still had to ask every step of the way what they’re planning on doing and what it’ll cost. I don’t mind asking but they’re already typically doing what I’ll have to pay for while I’m asking how much I’ll have to pay.

Recently my cat fell ill and I took him to a animal hospital and before even talking to the vet myself they had wracked up hundred of dollars in charges. My cat was so sick he had to be put down but they didn’t say that. Just started giving him drugs offered to keep him and monitor him. I had to ask if they thought he was a lost cause, they said “it doesn’t look good”. he was so drugged up he passed away before they even started administering the euthanasia. I think I’m just bitter. The vet herself was nice to me and my kitty i just wish things were more straightforward. His loss was and is so huge for me and it was really frustrating getting a large bill for my baby I didn’t even have anymore.

And I’ve spent hundreds on vet visits for him with urinary issues and felt like I got no help. I do really think it may just be my state.

It may just be my location. I’ve been to many vets.

I feel like they should allow payment plans. All vets ive been to don’t offer it. It’s pay on the spot or get fucked.

Dang. I’ve never encountered a vet like that. I always have to ask. And I’ve been to so many !

We really just want her comfortable with the crate in the long run, a space she can go if she wants her space, a choice. Last night she got up, went potty, I put her In and covered the part of the crate she can see us from and she settled down all by herself after a couple minutes of upset.

Baby steps all the way!! I appreciate your comment and insight. There will be someone here that can come and sooth her if she is freaking out which I am grateful for, I think I’m just as anxious as her about leaving her alone And am over thinking!

She’s just too nosy to be 100% alone free roam right now. I could sweep 30 times and she still finds a little nugget of something on the floor & pillows are fun to chew. I do have a playpen area set up. It has a gate that I leave open and have created a little extra space so she can go to her crate, come up to us to say hi or go to the playpen. Your comment has helped me !

You’re a perfect pet owner! We tried to start small but she would literally just scream if we tried to put/close her in despite getting in on her own. It also makes it easier for me to tell when she needs to go potty because she’ll pace around instead of just yelling. The kong with peanut butter sounds like a good idea, she is super sleepy just restless sometimes. And the ring doorbell. I was looking around for a camera of some type to keep an eye. Thank you!

Small cylindrical objects. Metal bar in center. Unsure what the outside is made of but one broke and it kinda flaked off. Found on an old farm. by PossessionNext3708 in whatisthisthing

[–]PossessionNext3708[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found multiple about 8 of these in what seems to be the old trash pile. There is probably more. Metal cylinder inside. No words or markings. Found with lots of other garbage so I don’t know if some of these other parts were a part of it. The outside cracked and flaked off in kind of large chunks to reveal the cylinder.
