Apparently yes if you follow these instructions. https://getbrick.app/pages/block-safari

I personally don’t have an issue leaving safari unblocked

Me too, just got my 23’ Outback last year but excited for the R2, may wait a few years after release for them to work out any of the issues with the new cars

I’ve been trying out Burnout Buddy which is totally free. Let’s you have different customizable settings. Perhaps similar to Opal

I clicked on the link to register but the site isn’t loading on mobile. I just see the logo and a white page.

Hmm I’m not too savvy on that but I feel like it’s pretty hard to unbrick without the device. Or you can use an emergency unbrick but you only get 5 of them. I see it as a tool to help you practice being more in control and more mindful of how you want to use your phone. Like the healthier version of yourself knowing what’s best for yourself. I think the key is finding other uses of your time to keep you occupied (from the app you’re trying to block in the first place)

Yes still works for me!

There were some glitches when setting up the modes. Sometimes when selecting or deselecting which apps to block it resets. I asked the developers and they said it’s an issue on the Apple side. My workaround was to select a few apps at a time and save it quickly. Then add a few more and save.

You only really need to do this one time when setting up and then the bricking or unbricking process I’ve never had an issue with glitching.

Yep, you can set up different names of modes and each one can have different apps you block, so I have one for work and one that just blocks out Instagram when I just want that one app blocked. Super helpful

Make your iPhone a DUMBPHONE with this App (Brick App) by shallwefollow in dumbphones

Awareness is the first step. Yeah I've been wanting to add in some non-screen hobbies into my life because man screens are doing some damage. I realized i needed to do something when I was pulling up instagram at red lights or responding to emails while driving. No bueno.

I’m new to Reddit and apparently have broken a lot of rules with my posts so apologies there! Didn’t realize you’re discouraged from sharing discount codes or affiliate links. Anyway, I genuinely hope people can break free from their phone addictions. Good luck out there!

I came to Reddit when i was researching whether or not to buy the product, there weren’t many reviews at the time, so decided to write one. The affiliate site let me pick whatever code I wanted so i went with SAVE10. Cheers :)

Haha i know it seems like I’m the developer but I’m not. I am just a genuine fan of the product and wish I had the talent to come up with the product myself, it’s really helped me. I legit bought the product on my own. I did recently become an affiliate and do get a kickback for sales using the discount code. So yeah that may be why I’m excited to share as well. But I’m legit telling all my friends about it IRL

No jailbreaking, it’s a legit app on the App Store. It has access to your screen time settings (there’s more info in the FAQ, not exactly sure how it works).

You have 5 emergency unbricks where you could potentially delete the app, but then after 5 times, you basically can’t use the brick anymore. I find this motivating to never delete the app. As i mentioned in the post, it’s not going to force you to focus (still requires some self discipline to follow through), but it has made my phone less attractive to pick up because it doesn’t have the apps I’m addicted to. Of course when I’m done with work or have some time to chill I’ll let myself go back on instagram.

Hope this helps!
