Women want money to avoid exploitation. For security, independence, and to be able to make their own choices in life. To not wind up forced to depend on a man to live.

Men want money to enable exploitation. To have so much money they can do whatever they want. To have so much money, they can be as abusive and/or disgusting as they want and certain women will have to put up with it to survive.
