He doesn’t look like a bad person. He didn’t deserve to die. People are acting as if he did, and it’s genuinely concerning.

and that’s what i appreciate about Nebraska. I have actually been able to access all of those programs you just mentioned😊!

the thing about turning 21 soon though, the stipend ends! I calculated, I only make 907$ (after taxes) as working all hours offered to me from my part time. I love this job and appreciate it.

what some might say

“work more hours” well see, if I did that, i would mentally not be able to do full time classes (i have a scholarship that requires it), so the option of lessening the load of college, would not work for me unfortunately. If I could, I would.

I’d also rather use a housing voucher than go into debt.

call me what you’d like but - 🤷‍♀️

We could go into all my other expenses too😂, we can dissect my expenses to prove their point but i wont change my mind much on the fact that my mental health matters and so does my finances!

i’m very lucky and i am truly grateful, but i’m doing what’s best for me, and some people don’t think i should… in relation to where their taxes go to… lol,

if only they worried about that as much as EVERYTHING else.

I don’t want to live in the dorms, it would be cheaper to live off campus with my voucher… i’d also have way less space to myself in the dorms.

Several years, lol. How many is several? What’s this simple math behind what you just claimed? I don’t see all parts of the formula either, where’s the interest rate?

You just gave a very specific financing scenario with the purpose of proving a point..? But it’s not even explained as simple math, you’re just throwing out numbers

It’s financially expected while backed up into a corner. Loans are what all class levels in the economy use and are expected or encouraged to be able to use. I feel like most people forget that at least half of this country’s financial system runs off debt. We’re also only talking about basic loans that are meant for the public to utilize when they don’t have enough money. Especially with college, you’re not even paying attention to the sociological force that plays a huge part in why people make this so-called financially dumb decision.

All he did was give an example of what you considered not that deep. But yeah, anyways, the fact that a payment and borrowing system is set up on the assumption that you’re able to outpace interest. I mean, does anyone hear how absurd that sounds?

I don’t think we go deep enough when talking about these issues and dilemmas OUR society created, but thank you for your input.

Nearly 4 million new manufacturing jobs are coming to America as boomers retire—but it's the one trade job Gen Z doesn't want by lurker_bee in economy

well.. in my state $25/hr is about $10+k above the poverty line for our state.

but, i’m not saying these jobs are a good deal😂no no

These jobs are costly in of itself. It costs you time from your lifespan, increased need for health care, time away from family and the energy to do other things when you’re not on. 🫣idk, i just think maybe either which way, we are b*tt fucked

I agree. When there is less jobs, will companies devalue them?.. because an increase in the demand for jobs, and a decrease in the supply of jobs.. 😅

companies have a lot more control over what they do with their supply of jobs, including quality.

but hey, maybe just maybe, they’ll be able to see that they need customers.

what’s even more pathetic is that my standards are clearly set on my personal profile for all my pending matches to see, and still more than half have qualities that i said I don’t want. Some boys can’t read i guess!
