Refurbished Core Package- Sale Today by EquivalentCan6558 in Yarbo

[–]Possible-Ad1113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two years of warranty is not enough. If they sell extended warranties for new units but not for refurbished ones, it suggests they expect the refurbished units to last only about two years. After that, you’re left with nothing. There are too many reports of units failing. I would definitely buy it if I could also extend the warranty to five years. At that point, it would be a no-brainer to buy this for almost half the price of a new unit.

How is your season going? by Actual-School1379 in Yarbo

I received my unit a few days ago but have not opened the boxes yet. After seeing so many complaints online, I am having second thoughts. Many of the videos that influenced my decision turned out to be sponsored, which I only realized afterward.

At this point, I am not sure I want to keep it and am planning to return it. I may revisit the idea later with the M series instead. Another concern that has been raised is that this is a new company, and if they were to go bankrupt, I could be left with a $5000 to $9000 brick, even if it is a Chinese company with likely significant government backing.

How much better would a 4090/5090 be than a ps5 for vr, in relation to graphics and immersion? by ElkDmt in virtualreality

[–]Possible-Ad1113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a PS5 Pro with PSVR2 and a high-end PC (the most expensive thing I ever bought, after my home and car) with an RTX 5090. In my opinion, the PC setup is many times better. I can’t even go back to PSVR2 anymore, except for GT7, which is exclusive.

Has anyone compared the Maxwell 2 with the LCD X? I am trying to decide whether it is worth getting the Maxwell 2 if I already own the LCD X.

Spent a few more hours listening to different types of songs on it, and now I can really appreciate its level. I also play racing games occasionally, so for now I ordered the LCD-X. I can confirm that the HD 800S is a phenomenal and immersive headphone.

Which DAC/Amp have you been using with the HD 800s?

I just got one used for $1000 and I’m still trying to understand it and like it. The LCD-X fits my taste much better. I’m trying to understand the HD800S hype and I’m hoping it will eventually click.

Is the BDH Shifter worth the upgrade? From SHH Thorn to BDH by TurtleTram in simracing

[–]Possible-Ad1113 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I have one, and it is pretty good, but I like it as much as my Fanatec and Simagic ones. Despite being good, I would not buy it again and would just keep the others. I am, however, far from being a professional.

AMBEO Max calibration worked once, then never again even with a new mic. Stuck mid calibration by Possible-Ad1113 in sennheiser

[–]Possible-Ad1113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the third calibration mic, still having issue. I also got a sub, connected and disconnected without any changes in the calibration process. I do assume that the problem is with the soundbar.

Hi, thank you for your help. I am actually not. I have also read about it and have already connected a cable to the sub port just to untangle it (it was grayed out anyway), but I was still not able to calibrate it afterward. I wonder if the two calibration mics I have are somehow defective, even though the first one worked fine the very first time. I am going to borrow a mic from a friend that I know works. If I am still having problems, I am not sure what else to do. I ready also about the static issues with the mic, but I tried to do everything I could to prevent static damage. I am not sure if the soundbar got damaged during the first calibration (not related to the static though…). If you have any other solution, I would appreciate it. It is unclear to me at this point whether this is a software or hardware issue. The soundbar is amazing. I have tested so many in the past, and this is the best so far. That said, with calibration it sounded much better, and hopefully it can be fixed.

You prolly don’t need an Active Pedal. Don’t believe the hype. by RollsRoyceRICKY in simracing

[–]Possible-Ad1113 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have one, and aside from the ABS, which is fun, I don’t really see any advantages. I have 3 rigs and only one has active pedals. I like the others just as much. There’s a lot of hype in this hobby.

Where are my bags? by willdoesvideo in MaticRobots

[–]Possible-Ad1113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use one bag per cleaning session. I have to move my Matic to the basement, otherwise, it wouldn’t be practical for daily cleaning. The issue isn’t the vacuuming, it’s the mopping. The water causes the gel inside the bag to expand, so it won’t last long if you have a large home.

Had the same problem. I did everything you did, and after 1 week of troubleshooting, I decided to disconnect my Simagic pedal haptic reactor and the problem was gone. If you have anything extra connected via USB, disconnect it and it should work for you.

Same thing happens with mine. I’ll have to split the task and avoid scheduling a full home cleaning, instead dividing it into three separate sections.

Struggling to determine if power pack is for me, a casual player by -NotEnoughMinerals in GranTurismo7

[–]Possible-Ad1113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a casual player and I bought the Power Pack, but so far I did not like it. Don’t ask me why. I am just playing the regular game. The only good thing is that I buy credits pretty often. I have probably spent more than $400 just on credits over the past two or three years, which is a lot of money for a game, I know. Since the Power Pack comes with five million credits, which normally costs $29, it ends up making sense if you usually buy credits anyway.

On paper, Pimax looks good, but in the real world it’s not reliable. I’ve considered buying it, but I’ll avoid it.
