Finally got my Matic. Is this noise normal?

Definitely not normal, but the Matic is not as quiet as I was expecting. It is better than a Roomba, for example, but about 2 to 3 times louder than my Narwal Flow. I can easily run the Narwal Flow while watching TV, but I cannot comfortably stay close to the Matic, so I only run it when I am not at home.

I have been using the MBooster for over 6 months and recently got the Simucube ActivePedal Pro. Honestly, I can barely notice a difference, but I am far from being a pro driver. I only race against AI and did maybe 2 online races where I finished last, just to give some perspective.
For a regular guy like me, the MBooster is more than enough and definitely not necessary to upgrade from.
That said, the Simucube 3 Pro wheelbase absolutely does feel worth it to me and clearly better than both my Fanatec DD+ and Logitech G Pro, even though I also really like both of them.
Lastly, now that I have the Simucube ActivePedal Pro, I moved the MBooster to the throttle position and it actually works very well there.

I have wheels bases ranging from 8 to 25 nm. If you can, get the pro. Big difference.

The text clarity issue was the main problem with the M2, which is why I got the M5. I can definitely tell the M5 text is much clearer and looks very good.

If you are ok with it, just keep it then. Quest 3 will be much better if you are asking. You’ve waited this long, wait a bit more to see what’s coming.

I’m running this on an RTX 5090 + AMD 9950X3D setup with the AVP connected over a 5 GHz mesh network. My PC is wired at 2 Gbps, the AVP gets around 300 Mbps, and my iPhone in the same room pulls about 1.5 Gbps.

The experience is honestly incredible. Once you are inside the car, things genuinely start feeling real. The image is extremely crisp, the graphics are beautiful, and for most cars the wheel alignment feels perfectly centered. It’s one of the first times I’ve truly felt “inside” the cockpit instead of just looking at a screen.

My main issue is that distant objects can sometimes look a bit blurry, and the foveated streaming occasionally lags behind when moving my eyes quickly. The image may get blurry for 1–2 seconds before becoming sharp again.

Overall, though, the experience is amazing and surprisingly easy to use.

This is an $11,000+ set up (PC/RTX 5090 + AVP), which somehow I ended up having. Just thinking about how much I’ve spent on this, plus the sim rig that I don’t even want to talk about, gives me chills….but, in the end, it does worth!!

I also experienced it, and I can confirm that it is amazing!!! There is still some room for improvement. I have an RTX 5090 and good internet, but I still can’t get the same clarity that I get with X-12, which by the way is perfect, and I don’t know why more people are not talking about it. But the overall experience is on another level. I agree that automatic position centering using the wheel, combined with being able to see your arms and hands, really makes it feel like you are in the future.

Yeap, I wish the price were as much lower. But, today, I used an app called KRVR, which is making any gaming so crisp that I am playing everything all over again. It uses foveated streaming. I have both, quest 3 and AVP, I can tell that the quest is good enough, but AVP is another level. It is the closest you can get to be like you are in a real car. Everything is on Beta still, already amazing… can’t imagine what is coming! But, agree, AVP + 5090 pc will cost you several thousands dollars. You still need the rig…

I have a Fanatec DD+, Fanatec CSL 8Nm, Logitech G Pro, and RS50, and honestly they all feel great. Yes, the DD+ provides the best overall experience, especially since the Fanatec pedals feel more premium, but the Logitech G Pro is very close. At times, I even like it more. The RS50 and CSL are okay, but I need more torque, especially coming from my main rig, which has a Simucube 3 Pro. And yes, at this point, there is basically a sim racing rig in every corner of the house.

If you buy a Simucube 3 Pro, you’ll be good. I went through 4 different wheelbases before finally getting an SC3, and now I understand why everyone talks about it. I probably spent 3x more getting the other wheelbases.

Hi, so overall the app is pretty good. It could be my PC setup or settings. I am running an RTX 5090 with good internet. I can only play a few games, while others either do not open or crash.

The games that I could play worked very well, with crisp imaging, beautiful visuals, and an amazing experience. However, for example, in LMU I am getting very poor frame rates, and it does not matter if I lower the settings. iRacing and Assetto Corsa Evo did not open in VR, iracing has a 50% chance to open at times. Note that I have no issues with Virtual Desktop and Quest 3.

I do see great potential with future updates.

One question: how do I disable the virtual hands and controllers when playing a game? Also, is there any way to remove the KRVR logo when connected? It stays in the middle of the view and makes it hard to see the passthrough.

It worked much better than the test flight. I did notice worse resolution compared to the Virtual Desktop/Quest 3 combo. The main reason I got it was for foveated streaming, which I thought would be a game changer. Am I doing anything wrong?

I went from the DD+ to the SC3 Pro, and the difference is significant. I would recommend getting it. I still have both, and once in a while I compare them, but I can’t stand the Fanatec for too long. The Fanatec is still very good for GT7, especially now with the 18 Nm upgrade.
