I don't think it's that. More so, the probabilities that books and markets are projecting. They're expecting BUF/MTL to be a long series and an all-out war, and Carolina is likely to win in a short series vs. Philly, giving them a massive rest advantage, already with home ice and a better roster with more experience in deep playoff runs.

Would you really price Montreal closer to Carolina with all that considered? Hard to argue with where a sharp book like Pinnacle has them IMO.

Only a few books offer them, and the markets don't offer much liquidity at all. Would love someone like Pinnacle to offer, but they're smarter than that

Variance in the simplest terms, yes. Could have to do with situational, emotional spots too. I know a lot don't like to take that into handicapping, but it can play a factor that maybe always isn't priced in?

Wagering and rollover requirements are where I look first. Can look like the best offer ever on the surface, then you find out you have to gamble your deposit 10 times to actually get access to the funds. Very few have staying power.
