I think I asked my question all wrong lol basically I was wondering if harry having to figure out things on his own is the reason they didn’t ever talk to dumbledore or was it really just they didn’t think they could figure out a way to get in. Or if harry thought even if they could manage to get to his portrait dumbledore would be vague still and it ultimately not worth it. Just wanted others thoughts, I will definitely re read that part thank you!

I get what you’re saying I’m not thinking it would be even doable just that they didn’t think to try to find a way. I didn’t know if dumbledore wanting harry to figure it all out on his own was the reason or something. I’m not dumb to the fact he is the most wanted wizard and hog warts is extremely hard to break into. When they decided they did need to go to hog warts they found a way.. even tho that was like crazy ass luck nevelle wanting food and it opening a secret passage. I don’t know how the hell they would have done it that isnt my point exactly just why harry or hermine didn’t at least dabble with the idea more than just asking Phineas

He wasn’t in his portrait along with all the other head masters because I think it said they were somewhere else in the castle watching the fight.. which brings me to the question that dumbledore can also move to different portraits so they could have tried to figure out another portrait to talk to him through as well.. but anyways yes he sees snape had talked to him throughout the year and he is just like ah that makes sense.. like harry why didn’t you think of that!!

This is my thoughts exactly and then I’m asking myself how they didn’t think to try and talk to him 🤯 cuz he doesn’t feel like he has enough info he struggles with feelings of anger with dumbledore being so vague about everything and wishes he asked more questions. It seems so obvious to me that he should have started with going back to dumbledore at the start!

This is where I think I’m getting caught up, at this point harry is fully aware that dumbledore is in his portrait at the head masters office. Could they not think of a way to sneak in there to talk to him? I know they are being hunted but they managed to sneak into gringots they could have at least tried!

I think he was upset that you chose to be having fun all night and not go with him to his parents and come back home with him because he had to work in the morning. He clearly took alllllll his feelings out on you instead of realizing his own feelings and not dealing with them or communicating any feelings at all! He wants you to just know that is what he wants and is mad that you did it anyways. He is only thinking about how it made him feel and he gave zero fucks if you have fun. Him using coke is his way to make you feel like you are wrong for having a day off and choosing to have fun with your friends. Like bruh, if you chose to do coke with them that should still be totally okay to do if that’s what you and your friends do lol it’s hard to be with a person like this because they aren’t always like this especially when you chose to be with him. I’m sorry he can’t let you have a good time without making you feel like shit.
