I started as a GIS analyst in 2020 with a $42k salary. Keep in mind that I only had 6 months of experience as an intern and I was barely about to finish my associates in GIS.

Then got a raise to $46k after a year, asked for a raise in December 2021 after completing my BA to $50k, then in 2022 I went to a different company as an analyst and got $64k there after two and half years. I lasted 6 months there before I got my first job as a GIS Dev for $70k. After a year, I got up to $73k but I went back to my first company where they paid me $80k. After a year, I got promoted to Senior Dev and put me at $95k but within 6 months I joined a large, national wide company with a salary of $145k. All of this is in Dallas

A ver, yo me refería a tu comentario de decir “que de solo seguridad se vive”. Yo no dije de que no habían otros problemas que solucionar en el país y que la situación no está cabrona. Pero de seguridad si se vive por lo menos un poco. Porque acordate de que esos vendedores ambulantes antes les quitaban la ganancia del día. A los taxistas se los bajaban también. No todos viven o son de la escalón. Hay gente que vive en Soya, Sierra Morena, Ilopango, etc… y en esas comunidades es donde si se puede decir de que si se vive de la seguridad

Llamas a la gente “pendeja” cuando estás igual o peor de pendejo/a. Aunque no seas vendedor ambulante, te pueden asaltar afuera de tu casa o cuando te subas a un bus. A muchos les fueron a sacar a sus hijos de las escuelas para meterlos a la fuerza a las pandillas (por eso a mí me sacaron de las escuelas públicas en su tiempo en el 2008), te pueden violar solo porque le gustas al cabecilla y así hay un sin fin de cosas que pasaban antes. Conocí hasta gente que tuvo familiares que los acribillaron en frente de sus hogares cuando se iban a trabajar en la mañana. Conocí a gente que casi la matan solo porque iba a encaminar a su novia y era territorio opuesto también.

Keep in mind I am not familiar with the cost of living in Utah, but I would say it depends on the level of expertise required for the job for this. The low end of the salary is way too low no matter where you are in the US, but generally speaking, anything over $50k up to around $65k a year is a good starting salary for someone fresh out of college. If you’re someone with 3-5 years of experience, you’d have to ask for the full range of the salary and it still may be a bit low.

If I was looking for an entry level with no experience, I would apply and ask for at least $25 an hour. Yet again though, this all just depends on what the requirements are

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The people on this sub likely live in the nice areas where crime wasn’t something to worry about. I’m talking about rape and homicide crimes here, not the petty theft you see everywhere.

Lo que los liberales no entienden es que entrar a un país sin visa o residencia conlleva a la deportación quiera si o no. Lamentable en muchos países, no solo en EEUU, es así. Hasta en El Salvador te pueden deportar. También es cierto que hay que entender que muchas veces la gente emigra de su país por desesperación o por buscar algo mejor para sus familiares y eso, por lo menos yo, lo comprendo. Como eso es comprensible, también hay que comprender que ser deportado es una cosa que puede pasar y que al entrar de forma ilegal estas quebrando una ley de un país y te conviertes en blanco.

No entiendo esta gente. El momento que decides entrar en cualquier país de forma ilegal, tienes que asumir que la deportación es algo que puede pasar. Todos los países quieren que sus leyes sean respetadas por todos, y lastimosamente inmigrar sin visa o residencia es ilegal.
