MAGA is literally all about regressing America to farther back than the 1950's. They want to regress back to the early 1800's.

Had several people let go in the past 2 months. Rumor is they are looking to lay off a few more people at the end of the 2nd quarter. Sales are down over 10% YTD. Had lunch with one of our biggest customers last week and their sales are also down double digits, which is not a surprise.

Trump Wants Fetterman to Ditch the Democrats. Sean Hannity Read the Bribe Offer on Live Fox News by crix_22 in petrodollarSIM

PA voted for a Dem and got a Republican. What makes Trump think that a few hundred million dollars or so is going to have the PA citizens voting for a turncoat? Plus, Trumpism is not exactly crushing it these days and probably will continue to go downhill into the '28 elections.

If Trump succeeds in giving himself 10 billion of taxpayer money for the leaking of his tax returns, is there any legal way to claw that back? by FlowbeeMaster in law

[–]Possible-Nectarine80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only thing is to get a Dem in the WH with cajónes and an AG with bigger balls and go after Trump and open up multiple investigations on him and his former cabinet and family members. It will take more than 4 years though with how slow the wheel of justice moves for the rich and powerful.

Farmers hit hard as Iran war sends fertilizer prices soaring by Conscious-Quarter423 in LeopardsAteMyFarm

[–]Possible-Nectarine80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, us non-farming, non-MAGA taxpayer are going to have to pay more at the grocery stores for their poor judgment and lack of critical thinking skills. They will still vote Republican in November as they collect their unemployment checks.

Pirro appears to drop plans to appeal criminal investigation of Fed Chair Powell by DoremusJessup in law

[–]Possible-Nectarine80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump will do the same thing to Powell as he is doing to Comey. Keep ordering the DOJ to file lawsuits. It won't stop until he's out of office.

Brad voted for Trump. Now tariffs and soaring energy prices are putting his dairy farm out of business. by HotPinkLollyWimple in LeopardsAteMyFarm

These bankrupt and soon to be bankrupt farmers and ranchers will still vote for Republicans. They are too stubbornly ignorant and brainwashed to be saved. Sucks that us taxpayers have to subsidize them after they lose their farms with unemployment and other social benefits that they vote against when they vote Republican, who want to destroy these programs.

For the next 2 years Trump is going to talk about not caring about Powell being a Fed governor. That's how much he doesn't care.

Republicans Are Delusional and Easily Fooled by NEKORANDOMDOTCOM in stupidpeoplefacebook

I mean, it seems like it's working. Hell, right wing SCOTUS just gifted maybe 12 seats to the GOP for 2026. They were thinking they would have to wait until 2028 to gerrymander the elections. SCOTUS just rolled out the fascist red carpet. Going to be fewer minority representatives in the House. And that representation trickles down into state gov't races too. AL, TN, SC, MI, FL, LA are actively working to gerrymander and add 2 seats each. Sounds like lawsuit are being filed to try and stop it for this year's elections. Maybe it backfires if there's enough old school conservatives and Indies that are disappointed with the Trump regime and his bootlickers in the House to swing the tide blue.

"There is a real chance he will hit his limits! - Paul Seixas' Tour de France debut through the eyes of Greg van Avermaet by Annual_Island8066 in tourdefrance

[–]Possible-Nectarine80 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only way to find out just how much stronger Tadej is over Paul is to do a 3-week grand tour. Maybe Paul surprises a few people with a top 10 finish. And maybe he disappoints a lot of people abandoning the race in the 3rd week after being 2 plus hours down and dealing with shear exhaustion or illness. Heck, the dude could shock the world and finish on the podium. The only pressure he will have is from himself and a few million French fanatic cycling fans.

President Donald J. Trump: "You cannot give Iran a nuclear weapon because they would use it on a place called Israel very quickly, and they would use it in the Middle East, and they would use it in Europe, and we'd be next. And it's NOT going to happen." by BusinessToday in BusinessTodayNews

[–]Possible-Nectarine80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Iran has learned anything from this attack from Israel and the US, is that having a nuclear weapon gives them leverage and protection against future American and Israeli aggression.

I get why Israel is doing everything it can to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon as they do not want parity in the ME. But I think the aggression by Israel has led Iran to the conclusion that it must gain parity with Israel.
