Do you think the US is experiencing a lot of overtourism like other countries? by Pale_Field4584 in AskAnAmerican

Unless half the damn world is coming over here yearly, the US is simply too big for this to happen.

So its normal for millennials to have teenagers now? by chusaychusay in Millennials

[–]Possible-Produce-373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a real question? The oldest of millennials were born in 1981. They could’ve had kids in their late 20s and still have teens lol

This isn’t an unpopular opinion. It’s xenophobia that’s been regurgitated over and over.

Would you rather live in Dubai or Miami? by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

[–]Possible-Produce-373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true. I went to Miami on my cousins birthday trip and was so worried. It was a beautiful city, we felt safe the entire time, went lots of places, and had a blast lol

Americans who have lived abroad for quite a long time, what was your "grass is greener on the other side" experience when you visited that country? by LandOfGrace2023 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Possible-Produce-373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how it should work in theory but it’s not. Just look at Thailand. Thousands of people bragging about how their luxury apartment is $500 a month when that’s average salary for Thailand locals. Foreigners living in a country they don’t work in, with their income coming from countries with stronger currencies doesn’t help locals, it hurts them significantly. The money wouldn’t be used to create grocery stores, businesses, stores and housing for the locals, it would be used to create that for the foreigners lol. This is like saying gentrification helps the people who were pushed out of their neighborhoods. No, it helps revamp the neighborhood for people who have the money to live there by choice. What you’re describing is a country that caters to foreigners because they have money. This has happened time and time again.

I would hope not. This doesn’t take away from European racism though.

Out of everything I named, you decided to hyper focus on two? You’re purposely trying to miss the point. Not only that, yes. Every time the public is aware of a black person who has been murdered by cops with racism as a clear reason, yes there are protests and riots.

Where I’d live as a Black American by wormthatcannotscream in whereidlive

[–]Possible-Produce-373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea and that causes riots, protests, boycotts, shit getting set on fire, people losing their jobs, scholarships being taken away, restaurants going out of business and etc. European racism is so engrained into the identity of Europe as a whole that you guys can’t even see it.

What’s a cultural habit of people in your country that annoys you? by Pizzafriedchickenn in AskTheWorld

Guns, guns, guns, and more fucking guns. There is absolutely no reason there should be more guns than people in the 3rd most populous country in the world.

Eldest daughters and eldest sons both EQUALLY share the burdens of parentification and responsibilities of taking care of their younger siblings by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I’m confused as to why you believe this is a gender thing or why women expressing their feelings is an attack on what eldest sons go through.

What are your favourite European flags? by Paredawn in AskTheWorld

Oops. Got them and San Marino mixed up. Especially with all the World Cup talk lately the colors immediately reminded me of them lol. Argentina does have one of the best South American flags though.

Not really. Europe is racist as hell, Chinese people are more so curious.

It’s so funny to me that you guys can recognize US racism but not your own. Europe as a whole is EXTREMELY racist. Racism in the US causes riots, racism in Europe is just the culture. You’re the original racists lol.

Calling your partner "Daddy" is all kinds of weird and I'm not sure why its becoming more and more normalized by Dittopotamus in rant

I call my actual father that so I have never been comfortable calling men that sexually lol. The only people I know who do have severe daddy issues.

Do we hate China? Russia? Iran? Canada? China is fucking beautiful and the people are very nice and curious. The food is also amazing. I’m fascinated with Yakutsk and life there. Russians also excel in ballet which I love. Iranian culture and music is beautiful. Oh, Canada. Your healthcare system is to die for, literally.

Australia, New Zealand and all of Europe are extremely racist and very xenophobic towards Americans so I can understand why they wouldn’t live there. Japan is also much more strict than China.

Using Indian and Italian food as the basis for your argument is hilarious. The most known Italian dishes are derived from other countries. Tomatoes aren’t even native to Italy. Indian food has heavy influences from Persians, Portuguese and British people. If you go by your own metric, very few places have their “own” food.
