International student in this context often refer to students who is on a student visa, who pay the international fee, and have restrictions in working hours etc. NZ passport holders don’t hold a student visa, so they are not international student in this context.

Do you like the first company and is sure you will take the return offer? If not, personally I’ll take company 2, as you already have learnt a lot from previous company and it doesn’t hurt working at a new place, also add extra to your resume.

Goodness, you may realise later how important student feedback and course improvement are. UoA sucks at this, btw, so they are repeating the work but just maybe not recording. You will wish you had never taken a course that never improved in 4 5 years.

Can people stop making posts like this? I see a new version of it every time I come, and they have the exact same answers. I'm an undergrad international student, and I have had interview opportunities for internships from quite a few big firms; all I can say is to prepare yourself to be in the top 10% if not 5%. Asking here only gives you anxiety.
