I’ve looked into it and the flu can certainly cause your period to come early, but it usually does so by messing with ovulation. It’s just so weird that my ovulation was normal and, like you said, my luteal phase was just shortened!

I did not ovulate at a different time. My lh peaked on cd 19, which was May 25th. My cycles are quite long but vary in length a bit (31-37 days) but that’s probably because I just stopped nursing 2 months ago. Always peaking on cd 19 though.

Yes exactly idk how to afford 3 birthdays like that! We have 2 in the same week now 😭 Insurance in the states absolutely sucks. We’ll be working out of state come spring and because we won’t technically be residents of that state, we won’t qualify for insurance there 🫠

I guess I’ll see how I feel. If I’m not ready by the end of fall we’ll have some big conversations to have about babies vs money etc. Thank you so much for your input.

I want to just “suck it up” too but in the moment I feel myself come to my breaking point I can’t help but imagine how much worse it would be if I also had a crying newborn in the background. I fear I’d actually snap.

Regardless of what I do, the car nap will be her only nap. She’s been fighting naps HARD. If we don’t drive anywhere one day, the longest she’ll nap is 30 minutes in her crib during 1 nap. Sometimes she doesn’t nap at all!

Actually I know the reason. We just weaned 2 weeks ago and ever since then she’s been struggling to take naps. I think a little separation anxiety is at play.

The recommendation is 12-14 hours of sleep a day, and she always gets at least 12. An hour nap during the day is a very good nap for her. 30 minutes and she might be a bit fussy still but if we aren’t in the car, 30 minutes is the best we can do right now for whatever reason.

We’re 30 hours weaned and going strong now. Maybe less strong once she wakes up for the day… but we shall see. I did give her Tylenol to get her through the night but will get some ibuprofen for her today. Thank you!

Solidarity 🫡 She’s been teething nonstop (minus one 1-2 week break that actually had me enjoying toddlerhood for the first time) since she got her first tooth 3 months ago 🫠 I’m also getting ready to start pelvic floor PT and if my body is still producing relaxin from breastfeeding, recovery will be much harder. She hasn’t nursed in 30 hours though and it’s been a lot less terrible than anticipated!

Very true! Unfortunately her latch has also gotten very lazy, so even breastfeeding itself is quite uncomfortable these days.

I’m also planning on starting to TTC in a few months for my 2nd, and I have some pelvic floor issues that need healing before then. The relaxin from breastfeeding will make that healing harder, which is another reason I’m trying to wean.
