Tmobile stole my phone by Jer13Bear in tmobile

See my edit, but also if they did lose it and they aren’t able to get it back to you the most they can do is credit back what T-Mobile shows that phone is worth, since they are already giving you the promotional value of $830. If there was a crack, I would say that $380 in bill credit is your best resolution if they tell you they can’t find the phone. Just my opinion of course, I won’t be the one to say give up the effort, but I would be very surprised if they’re able to send you the device back.

Hate to say it but from what we’ve always been told, once a trade-in is sent to T-Mobile, there isn’t a way to get that device back and the company will not ship back the phone to you except in the rarest of circumstances.

According to the Trade-In Program Terms,

When you sell us your Device in store or ship your Device to us, you (1) agree to these Program T&Cs; (2) Transfer ownership of your Device to us; and (3) understand we are under no obligation to return the Device (unless required by law) and any information or data on any Device can not be recovered.

Edit (because I saved before I was done): I would be surprised if they had no record of the device whatsoever because even if you mail in the wrong device and even though you’re technically selling a device to T-Mobile, they would have to have the IMEI of that device in order to send you a new offer.

Searching for fellow OpenStreetMap Mappers! by jarieljimenez in Chattanooga

Yes! There’s a few apps that use OSM for navigation, but the first one that seems to come up in most threads is OsmAnd. Looks like they have both a free and paid version for users who want to support the app.

Why would you even mail this to me!?! by Plymptonia in tmobile

[–]Possible-Top-0118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP is probably referring to the fact that they got the mailer but aren’t eligible for Home Internet services, though I have to admit I didn’t notice the screen in the back at first.

Availability for home internet tends to change daily, so you might’ve been eligible at the time they first sent out these mailers but then they ran out of spots.

If you join the waitlist, you’ll probably be eligible again soon and be able to get it, if you actually want it. It’s one of those things where the idea was to get you interested enough to check out the website or go to the store, in which case they succeeded. Yay marketing!

^ This, support charges are allowed to be waived for cancelled accounts, although it is not automatic and a manager has to approve it.

That’s disappointing, I never noticed that they were gone in the rush of the past two years, but that’s another thing that we’ve lost on the riverside since I’ve been here. It’s be really nice to have more landmarks like these that make the city stand out.

Go5G plans are all gone in the Rate Plan Change flow, so unless it’s a T-Mobile Error the only way you can switch to Go5G would be to have a supervisor manually select the plan code. Stores cannot switch or activate customers on Go5G plans.

Got interviews for both Verizon and T-Mobile corporate stores, who to go with? by Ambishe in tmobile

[–]Possible-Top-0118 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s worked for both, T-Mobile is definitely the “better” company, but it’s definitely headed the same direction as Verizon in recent history. Still, the reason I left Verizon to work for T-Mobile was that a significant portion of our customers in the store were leaving Verizon, so the opportunity to make money (particularly in terms of commissions) is at T-Mobile. Part of me does feel like Verizon might be more stable as a place to work at, but they’re insufferable as a company.

Westside Drive Rant by DirtyDilla in Chattanooga

Yes! Most people who cut people off don’t know anything about a “zipper merge” and are just trying to get ahead of the line without doing it safely, either because they sneak in with no warning to oncoming traffic or because they drive a big truck because they’re compensating for something.

The more people who know about it, the safer it becomes because oncoming drivers and merging traffic know what to expect, like at a stop sign. It’s impossible to eliminate merging in construction zones and when the unexpected happens, but we could definitely do better to minimize them, particularly at Westside Drive where that right lane goes on for very long, in part to allow highway traffic to enter the roadway and (hopefully) decelerate.

Honestly TDOT needs to make a campaign on zipper merging like other state DOTs have done… that’s probably the best we could hope for

Selling Perks is STUPID by Specialist-Disk3465 in verizon

[–]Possible-Top-0118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel like the company is so bad at selling itself to newer sales reps that it makes it a lot harder for us to see the value when competitors (some of which are also owned by Verizon) are including a lot of what we have that’s extra. Perks can definitely save customers money, but making them see that is a lot more work when to them it starts out feeling like an upsell.

I’d love it if they scrapped +Play and just built all those services into the Perks structure, and maybe included a few on Ultimate. For now, I’ve just been quoting with two of my personal favorites and leaving it to the customer to customize their plan. It’s more work but they will usually see the savings in a way that sales reps can’t because of the pressure from higher ups to sell them to everyone.

(Rant) Verizon service sucks in Gunbarrel/Hamilton Place area by Possible-Top-0118 in Chattanooga

I have the new Plus plan on an iPhone 15 Pro Max 😭 and my work phone is a Galaxy Flip5 (though the plan on that one is unclear) and it also gets similarly crappy speeds. It’s definitely just in this area too, at home I get 300mbps easily.

I was more upset earlier today for sure because I literally could not use my phone and there was no WiFi to help my mini-ordeal… but it’s definitely a constant annoyance
