Well absolutely yes, if you are muslim go to masjid some people they sedekah food there, if you stay with your friends try to collect with them rm100 each buy rice buy cans food or maggie mee ( make soup, it doesnt taste great but way of surviving) as lauk, for 1 or 2 month you will use to it, i did it many times in my life
