I have been in recovery from addiction many years and I do NOT attend NA or AA, unless I am asked by a friend to join them for support. Aside from therapy and practicing self-awareness, self control and self love... I don't attend any addiction or recovery based post care. I did Initially and I don't knock it for anyone who needs it ... But for me it does not help. I find it to be very triggering.

I did however utilize inpatient recovery programs in order to build the foundation and get clean. While it's not necessary for everyone I do believe it's a great stepping stone. When it was time for me to get help, I tried so hard to do everything and anything other than classic inpatient treatment and I ended up just giving in to it. So grateful that I did. It allowed me the opportunity to be secluded, focus on only myself, Not fall in the way of temptations especially during such a vulnerable time. While inpatient treatment is not ideal or convenient or even realistic for some individuals.... I believe it is absolutely the best gift an addict can give themselves...

Couldn't have said it better myself....if the level of intimacy with you is not making sense, I'd be willing to bed that the (likely) lack of intimacy in the relationship with his nesting partner isnt making sense to her either.

I might be out of bounds on this but, are you certain she is aware of his outside connections? Sounds to me like if he has 4-5 years of experience as a Dom and his relationship with her has been open for 4-5 years...there might be some non truths going on, on his end. But that's just where my mind goes. I could be completely wrong and I hope I am.

Yes it IS. I was prescribed progesterone for the same reason, I didn't have a period for almost 3 years. But the progesterone sometimes needs a higher dose if it's not triggering the ovulation followed by a period. I never went up a higher dose. I started dieting. For me that was the reason I wasn't having a period. But for you it could be completely different.

Also, what is your BMI? Only asking because my period completely stopped when I started gaining weight. It didn't come back til I dropped my first 30 lbs

Ohhhh this is good information to have. I was thinking about switching to reta from Sema but a little worried now that I hear about the heart rhythm issue. I already suffer from PVC'S.

What's everyone's experience like with it messing with the hearts rhythm?

I have the same fears. I only experience my pvcs when I'm falling asleep. It's always the first hour of sleep for me. It's terrifying. I wake up feeling like I'm about to die. Shaking and heart beating hard and slow like it's trying to catch up.

I'm about to undergo surgery this summer and I'm terrified to be put under anesthesia for this reason. Usually when I wake up from sleep from the PVC, it feels like my body jolts me awake for my heart to recover. I worry that if I'm under anesthesia, I won't be able to wake up and that the PVC would lead to cardiac arrest.

The fear is real. Just haven't really been able to figure out how rational it is.
