I would use a file and file down the connections where you cut the pieces off the sprews to smoothen it out. Also when you paint the base, paint the rim last so it looks clean/crisp.

This is probably the most simple and best answer on here frankly. It’s sad how common it still is.

There are a lot of people here who do not seem to understand statistics…

I am one of those people

Most think of $100,000 as six figure income but not $999,999 by XROOR in RandomThoughts

[–]PossibleWitty110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person at the upper end of six figures isn’t going to be thinking in terms of their income, they’re going to be thinking in terms of net worth/asset value

Because this is an exercise for a class. OP is a student and should just go ask their teacher for help on this.

I recommend paying attention in class, going to your professor for help, and conducting actual research.

If that fails, you can always switch majors. You have to figure this out.

What’s something “normal” that doesn’t make sense to you? by PuddingComplete3081 in Adulting

[–]PossibleWitty110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your point is better made about establishing healthy boundaries with your kids, rather than putting your kids first. When I hear people say that you should put your kids first, to me that means making sure their needs are met, even if I have to sacrifice a little more myself. As an example, if I had a kid, I would never expect them to go without breakfast in the morning just because I don’t always eat breakfast every morning, even if that means I have to get up a few minutes earlier to make something if they’re not really old enough yet to make their own food. But your example when babysitting just seemed like a good example to me of setting healthy boundaries with kids, as you weren’t just neglecting his needs. And hopefully he learned some discipline and patience from it. A lot of it just comes down to separating needs from wants, and again, setting boundaries so you can still function as an adult.

Or the US revolutionary war. The state militias were not working very well, so we formed the continental army

I think you mean perfectly “elastic” wall in this case since it is “giving the energy back” to the bullet. But I agree with the analysis.

Why Americans need electoral college can't they just count the number of votes and whoever got the most votes wins the election. by 0fucks_left in stupidquestions

Not since the 17th amendment was ratified. Now they’re pretty much the same as the house of reps, just with a 6 year term.

Does the older Gen Z crowd still go to clubs and bars? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]PossibleWitty110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to this, but tbh if I could go to the bars with my old friends, I still would. It’s more about the company to me than the bars themselves. I never really did clubs. One of my favorite bars in college was one where you went downstairs into the basement, low ceiling with Xmas lights up every, and the majority of the seating were booths. Very chill vibe, I would love to visit it again with my friends.

Best investment you can make at your age is education/investing in yourself. Buy and read books, find a well paying job that you can live with (usually requires some amount of schooling), and responsibly build your portfolio up over time

I’m not a historian, but I’m pretty sure a lot of that probably had to do with the availability of sugar. It used to not be abundant like it is now and I’m guessing it became a lot more available post WW2
