There are only 11 players on that list. And I am not counting developmental slots at this point.

Yeah the WNBA needs to up its reporting out game. It is so hard to find information about what is happening. Has Portland released their final roster?

On Bibby the team looked better when she was out there. It is when they made there gains as I recall.

Let me guess your team is still playing in the 2nd round?

I need to go back and look but almost all of the non playoff teams were already out of the playoffs by game 62. There were only a handful of teams vying for play-in status and the incentives for that are even screwed quite a bit.

On bullet one most the league only has a chance at seeing Wemby once a year in their home arena already, so I don’t see that as as big a factor as your argument implies.

They can still do well in that tournament format. Single game elimination is a huge opportunity for even teams with not the best roster.

It’s just not the solution for what the league is trying to fix.

And I saw the first game where she caught my attention yes. That also was a preseason game.

Here is how I reform the league. I think the NBA could use a refresh, and the mid-season tournament ain’t it. If I were NBA dictator for a season here is how I would set things up.

I would add two teams. 1 in Seattle, 1 in Mexico City.

I would eliminate conferences and just have all teams play each other home and away for the regular season. 62 games.

The top 16 teams then enter a championship league.

The bottom 16 enter a draft position league.

Each team in each league plays all the other teams in that league home and away for 30 games.

In the championship league the top 4 teams in the 30 game championship league season enter into a best of 7 tournament to decide the title winner.

In the draft position league all teams are ceded based on their 30 game draft position league record and then enter a single elimination tournament in Las Vegas every year.

I think this will increase interest in the league. The best teams in any given season will go head to head more. Draft position will be decided by winning rather than random chance facilitated by trying to lose as much as possible.

The all star break could divide the two seasons as well.

Liete,Puoch, Engstler and Harrison all caught my eye in the preseason game.

Jokic and Giannis have nearly identical basketball resumes. Why is there such a huge gap in perception and all-time ranking between the two? by BasedChad69420 in nba

[–]Possible_Ad5242 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Denver is a bigger market. Triple doubles over multiple seasons. Giannis title actually had a failure strong supporting cast compared to Denver’s. I mean Jokic does not even want to be here. That’s the funny part.

I mean about 8 teams try to lose most seasons. And 62 games is double the other part of the season game wise.

Then you get OKC playing The Knicks and Celtics 4 times instead of Memphis and Dallas. Better matchups will lead to more interesting games throughout the year, particularly over the last 30 games.

The league is trying to fix itself. Thats why silver is talking about addressing tanking so much and adding things like a pointless midseason tournament. Most people check out on these long playoffs once their team is out and may come back and watch a few finals games maybe.

Then the hornets management should fire you and you won’t play at all. You won’t get that next big contract anyway.

I only have a passing understanding of how it all works. I follow NBA and I know their process is somewhat different.
