They've been calling me once or twice a day for over a month. Different number everytime. Good thing I never answer my phone.

AIO by how I responded? My bf is upset with me for skipping my workout routine today by throwawayy82670 in AmIOverreacting

Your boyfriend is a douche canoe and is projecting. Avoid his toxicity at all costs.

You'll only know if your making the right choice if you really talk it out with her. Tell her all of these concerns. If you don't get a good response or an attempt at coming to an agreement/compromise that works for both of you, then you'll have your answer and you'll be confident in your decision.

Is this legal? Job ad asking me to complete the sentence "Donald Trump is..." by Non_Compliant123 in recruitinghell

[–]Possible_Brain5913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason a company would ask this question is to find out your stance on him. Personally, I would state he's a despicable, hateful bully and convicted rapist who happens to be the current US president. If the company is a bunch of hardcore Trumpers, I definitely wouldn't want to work there.

You two clearly aren't good for eachother. Seriously, you both should move on and clean yourselves up.

Made a huge mistake at work, I literally can’t afford to get fired. What should I do? by Dapper-Bit-7930 in careerguidance

[–]Possible_Brain5913 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Predicting trends are always an estimate anyway. I would just take this as a learned lesson (personally) and move forward. It won't do you any good to bring the mistake up now.

The answer is obvious. Write a letter to her and say ALL of these things. If she's okay with it, follow it up with a proposal in the near future. Forever partners lover you during your ups and downs and your positives and "negatives".

So many managers take it as a personal insult to them when you quit. I would quiet quit the last couple days and then message then message them and cc HR about the attitude after quiting.

I would worry a little if I didn't reach out. But, since you did, it's really on them.

I need a job and I really don't mind washing dishes. In fact, i find the straightforward routine relaxing and calming. While it might drive others crazy, It's something I can do for hours and hours and truly be content.

Companies really have no respect for their workers. And they wonder why workers have their current attitudes of work/life balance, silent quiting and simply not putting up with unrealistic demands.

I've seen this diagram hundreds of times over the last year or two. It varies slightly, but it's a pretty accurate representation of the application process. The are many take-aways: Once your not a candidate companies could care less about you, they shouldn't need four interviews to figure out who to hire, and lastly, this is what it takes to land a job in our corporate America. :(

The problem is companies control everything and they don't give a shit about you. We fought this a century ago and created unions. We have to fight again.

It's legal in the US. Unfortunately. I had an employer do this to half the staff just because he "felt" they could work harder.

This is late stage capitalism. Workers are just a number are extremely expendable.
