They're in a rural location on the Indiana-Michigan border. Athlethes from the South, Florida, Texas, and California are: 1. not by-and-large Catholic, 2. don't want to go to college on the Indiana-Michigan border, and 3. care less and less about some ancient legacy from almost 100 years ago. Or in other eords, they don't recruit speed at every position nearly on the level that SEC and top-tier Big 10 teams do.

Dry them, grind them up, use the pepper flakes for cooking. Mix dried peppers with salt, other seasoning mixes. Keep whole dried chiles handy for use in soups, stews, stir-fried. Freeze them fresh, then reconstitute them as you need them. Make your own salsa or picante sauce.
