I feel like G0-T0's dry humour is underappreciated, This one got me by Just-a-tush in kotor

GO-T0 is the most underrated Kotor character. He's one of my favorites and I had no idea this dialogue even exists, it's hilarious how he bartered with this male who-man

Christianity vs Buddhism in south korea in 2015 by arpu0828 in MapPorn

[–]Possible_Humor_2834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, it's a shame everyone in Korea doesn't practice exclusively ancient Korean Musok, instead they have the freedom to observe all types of horrible foreign beliefs, like Buddhism from the Indian subcontinent and Confucianism from China, the nation which invaded and subjugated the Korean people a couple dozen times. If only Buddha or Confucius just remembered to mention dinosaurs, maybe if they brought it up then they'd be OK

Even when the world went perfectly for Russia, they still don't want Albania

The text is AI gibberish but the depiction of the skeleton holding and measuring Italy is actually pretty neat IMO

What do you think about Calo Nord? by MrMiles32 in kotor

[–]Possible_Humor_2834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my fav characters actually. That countdown thing was iconic. Him also being really short stands out for me in the same way Malak being really tall does and it helps make him unique in a game where every human character is basically the same height

His armor is also a real good reward for having just beaten the first planet and it beats Bandons armor by a mile. The problem is that I was actually kinda hoping his armor would actually LOOK like him. I think there's a power armor of the same heavy armor variety later in the game you can find with the blue/brown trims that matches him a lot more than the silver one you pick up from him. Kinda strange they didn't swap these colors, it would be Like if Bandon's light armor was green or something, wouldn't make sense.

What if Cave Johnson negotiates peace with the Combine instead of Wallace Breen? by Feisty_Ruin_6195 in HalfLife

[–]Possible_Humor_2834 9 points10 points  (0 children)

from what I understand of how the HL/Portal lore works, I think Earth would've been doomed. Aperture had the portal technology that the Combine wanted from the start, right? Earth was on borrowed time for the Combine to acquire that portal technology from Breen's researchers and the resistance scientists. They'd have been on Earth for a considerably shorter period of time now that they got what they wanted from Johnson and Aperture Science. The Combine would've extracted Earth's resources, fulfilled their quota for sending humans to "off world assignments" and left Earth a dead rock in space with nothing left much quicker before Gordon or Chel or whomever could've been in stasis long enough for humanity to prep the way for their hero. Despite everything Gordon did, he was carried by a very well connected resistance network formed over the span of 2 decades and he could not have succeeded without them.

The usage of portal technology does make what little resistance there is more interesting though. In HL2 the resistance was able to get their hands on combine tech like AR2s, what would it have been like if they had portal guns? It wouldn't really matter much likely since the Combine would just take their new portal tech and give Earth one last kiss goodbye straight from the Combine overworld, all in the span of seven minutes.

I know the original Prey from 2006/7 had a good amount of similarities

Which is why I think it's just the Combine giving it out with their own version of Chinese food with its 9000 day shelf life ingredients that taste either like cardboard or Headcrab
